Trade ideas: Offseason edition

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I want no parts of KAT, unless he comes borderline free.

He puts up pretty good numbers, but he doesn't do anything when it counts or for winning. I hate the phrase, but he's the quintessential "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" player. I'd genuinely rather keep JA than KAT. #CallMeCrazy
Does KAT get pushed around like Allen?

There's some smoke around KAT and Zion wanting out of their respective teams. Think the goal of this team should be finding another star to pair with Mobley.

We can make a pretty great offer to teams with disgruntled stars.

Garland, Sexton, Okoro, and Allen with all other picks available. If the Cavs really want someone, they should have the power to go out and get them.

Dont think he beomes available, dont know we have what it would take to get him if we dont give up Mobley anyways.

Why does Minny trade him?
They have done a shit job putting an actual competitive team around him. It's either they act with some urgency to compete in the West or let KAT get disgruntled and he requests a trade.

They probably don't move him soon but when they make him available, the Cavs will have a very competitive offer. If he's only willing to commit to resigning with a select few teams, this gives them an opportunity to outbid teams that are afraid of taking on the risk.

These are the type moves the Cavs will have to make in order to become contenders. No top tier player is going to commit to us unless we're already a playoff team.

Can't say with 100% certainty KAT and Mobley will fit with each other but they both have skills that would seemingly compliment each other. Especially once Mobley adds weight and strength to be able to defend bigs.

Yes.

So many players and picks for just a guy who cant shoot?I think thats a dream trade for Morey and Brant

Just saw this idea on another site.

Cleveland: Simmons and Maxey

Philly: Okoro, Sexton, Love, 2022 & 2024 1st Rd picks

Thoughts? I think I'd do it.
If the Cavs are that stupid then they truly deserve all the bad things that would follow.

The basic horrors of that trade aside, the Cavs would end up with 4 PG's, and the Sixers would have none.

I would never discourage a fellow RCF member from posting his or her ideas. However, I think the success of the board has been driven by posters who make an effort to be constructively engaged.. I don't think the bulk of your trade posts have risen to the expected level.. You are frequently getting that feedback, so it's not hidden from you. I know I have proposed some unpopular trade ideas, but I try to process the feedback to improve the quality if idea exchange..

So with that said, I am going to go all Roy Kent on you and ask you to do better.

Cleveland receives: Jonathan Kuminga & Moses Moody

Golden State receives: Collin Sexton & Isaac Okoro

Why?

Cleveland gets players that fit the roster better.

Golden State takes a flyer on Sexton.

PG: Darius Garland / Ricky Rubio / Kevin Pangos
SG: Moses Moody / Denzel Valentine
SF: Jonathan Kuminga / Dylan Windler / Cedi Osman / Lamar Stevens
PF: Evan Mobley / Lauri Markkanen / Dean Wade / Kevin Love
C: Jarrett Allen / Mfondu Kabengele
Coach: J.B. Bickerstaff

I hope this is good enough to not get me in trouble...

GS has already said those two youngsters are off the table as far as trade bait is concerned. GS is up there in age so they are trading away their young kids

Other teams receive: Collin Sexton and Isaac Okoro

Cleveland receives: a backhand across the chops from Blazie

Why?

Because I'm not trading these young guys right now. There's no real incentive to move off any of them... the only one who needs to get paid soon is your best, most industrious player who, by all accounts, is going to be reasonable with his contract demands. A year from now.

There's also not much to gain by making lateral moves based on 2-3 inches in height. We have strung together a couple of 20-win seasons. Let's finally get all the talent together first, see what actually works, and then move what doesn't.

But ah, what the hell:

Cleveland receives: Cam Reddish

Atlanta receives: Cedi Osman, 2023 1st rd pick (top 3 protected)

Why?

Because I'm bored out of my mind at work right now.

Also, apologies for referring to myself in the 3rd person...
