New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The premise was good, but I thought the character development/revelation in response to changing circumstances was really just excellent.

Koreans make some really good stuff.

I actually really like foreign content as well. I have been consuming american shit for so long, so it's refreshing.

Worst part about Squid Game was the Z-list English speaking actors who came in as the VIPs. Holy shit were they cringe-inducingly bad.

Makes me wonder if the rest of the acting is actually good or if we just can't tell because they're not speaking English. :chuckle:

Foundation finally started to pay off in ep4. Only two left in this season/ crisis

By the way, if you guys are looking for good foreign language shows, Gomorrah and Dark are vastly superior to Squid Game, and I say that as someone who really liked Squid Game.

The third episode of season three of Gomorrah, "Inferno," is quite possibly the best episode of television that I've ever seen.

Expanse Season 6 coming.
Bittersweet: only 6 episodes for the final season. Arrg they totally going to skip the last 3 books

I remember them saying they are keeping all the sets in storage. So there is a chance they will come back to the final story arch later. at least we can have hope

Loved Dark. Possibly the most intricately plotted show I've ever seen.

I think it's also a case of Koreans trying their best at writing American dialogue. It's a caricature, same shit that happens if white people try to write for a particular black demo etc

Agreed on Dark. I thought the casting was also amazing. They did a great job of finding actors who looked like their older/younger counterparts.

I'd highly recommend giving Gomorrah a watch if you haven't seen it. I believe it's on HBO now. It's also still in production. I think the fifth season starts soon, although not sure if that's just in Italy. Previous seasons have aired there first but I'm not sure if it getting picked up by HBO will change that at all.

That Stormfront segment is a little too accurate.

Also, "Do your part, be American." :chuckle:

I thought 75% of it landed which is 100% better than most of these NFLX shows. I truly cared about the mains. Cinematography was incredible

The Bureau might be the best show I've seen since Succession.

The North Water is fucking great.

What we do in the shadows is the funniest show right now (besides Succession)
