Yeah he is good. Lots of people liked him in 2018, but the thought was he was just 3 and D
It was either Sexton SGA or Mikal imo.
He is better now that his team is better too.
I think we could easily be having conversations about how we missed out on Sexton if he went to a better situation where he was not the first player picked in a long rebuild.
I don't think anyone is untouchable , but now that he is paid I bet the Suns plan on treating him like a all star in trade talks even if he never makes the all star team.

I know, you love Col"l"in. The pain when he leaves will be immense.

Honestly, I’m not expecting us to get much for them. Mikal Bridges, in my opinion, already holds more value than the two of them combined.
Well Sarver seems to be reverting back to his cheapskate ways in Phoenix even after their playoff run last season. They apparently don't want to pay Ayton. Makes me wonder if Bridges (or Cam Johnson) could eventually land on the trade block? I'd be pretty shocked if Phoenix pays Ayton plus both their young wings. Based on the Allen contract we know Gilbert would pay them esp with wing being such a need on this team.

From your post to Sarver and Gilbert's ears...

If saving money is their goal, then they definitely wouldn’t be interested in a couple guys due for extensions.

Also, I don’t think their hesitation to max out Ayton is indicative of them being cheap. They just paid Chris Paul a ton.

I fully expect he will leave and dont blame him a damn bit. Some of us appreciate winners like Sexton representing the Cavs and some don't know what it takes to build anything
Dude we all see Collin. I personally love the kid... appreciate all his hard work and love how he reps the team. I think he truly enjoys the game and also enjoys playing here which you couldn't say for most NBA players. His playstyle isn't aesthetic at all but he's still my favorite player on the team. He's going to be a top flight scorer in the league for years. I personally hope he's part of the Cavs for a long time.

With that said it's obvious Mobley by far has the highest 2 way potential on the team by a mile. They really need to start building around him now even if it means trading away 1-2 of the lottery guards they've drafted the past few years. I hope Collin is around for years but the truth is any player on the team could potentially be traded with the exception of Mobley.

Sure he could have been traded all summer too but wasn't. So the fact he is underrated by the media and most fans on here is not good for much, and doesn't change Altman has his head on crooked if he was actually shopping him at all. Garland has proven far less despite his supporters saying otherwise.Okoro showed flashes but this season looks bust worthy in preseason and summer league. It has to matter imo. But it probably won't if Altman and his reputation are driving the Bus.
I would bet Sexton is all over the challenge of getting work in and becoming whatever this team needs to win. I don;t however think his agent is going to advise him to take 6th man pay if he believes Sexton far exceeds that pay in a better situation either. He is not a good fit here with Garland I think anyone can buy that as facts. Choosing to keep Garland however over a more proven scorer only makes sense if Garland becomes his equal as a scorer this season while being the better playmaker, but if not than they have to keep Sexton and hope he continues to let the game come to him as far as playmaking instead of forcing it due to old school coaching theories that work best in grade school.

garland + okoro for cam johnson, or garland + 2023 pick.

Wizards got a ton of forwards. Would something like Hachimura or Avdija for Sexton be appealing to both sides ?

Even the new Rubio stan members are jumping on this train without even watching one regular season game yet.

No thanks to this trade. Despite all their forwards I don't believe the Wizards have a legit starting SF on their roster and will probably end up starting KCP. Avdija can't shoot and was a near bust last year. Hachimura like Kuzma is a natural PF.

Washington if anything would want Rubio maybe Garland not Sexton who is not a good fit there.
I agree they have nobody worth trading for at all.
Would much rather see them play out the first half of the season as is now and let players build up values.
Garlands value is already plummeting since preseason started. It could get worse I guess but no worse than Sextons given his contract issues, and Garland not needing an extension or headed to RFA. Rubio will be traded at the deadline if the Cavs are sub 500 in January too.

They would want Rubio or Garland not Sexton. but if you really want to trade with them I guess we could send them Pangos and Tacko for Isaiah Todd and let him play the 3 instead of the 4.
