Remove the Minny game.

Can you show individual plays where he was open, let alone a lot?

I’ve referenced this to you multiple times; a large chunk of routes are dummy routes. And he runs a TON of them.

When he’s open on a play, he could not even be a progression. That can’t be overstated. We don’t prioritize him with routes that matter.

The thing about Odell being a decoy is he still gets open because he’s good enough to still get open and when that happens baker has to be able to get the ball to him but he doesn’t.

Is there a reason for me to care about this?

It's 1 btw.

You mentioned how many points we have been scoring but none of them are coming from WR’s. That’s not sustainable. You don’t think that’s an issue?

Yeah.. Because he’s a decoy. He’s literally not a progression. He’s running a route with zero expectation that ball will be thrown to him.

Nope.

We’re five weeks in, and outside of the Minny game, the team has moved the ball virtually at will. When it ends up inside the five, I don’t care who gets it.

How is it not sustainable?

They have the best rushing attack in the NFL and they love throwing to TE and RB. Mix in a few WR td and you are fine.

This offense is designed on purpose to be this way

Doesn’t mean that Landry isn’t better in their respective roles.

Again, I can’t stress this enough; Landry’s roll as a WR is the most important in the entire scheme. I thought, after week 1, that Odell would roll into Landry and that Schwartz would act as the field stretcher.

You think a dude coming off knee surgery would go do the dirty, hard work in the middle of the field?

We have to be more than that to be successful. Chubb and Hunt aren’t gonna have it popping every game.

And as much as we love throwing to TE’s they are more situational and matchup based options.

Do we not have two high paid WR’s? Eventually we need to put them to good use.

Can’t get my legs under me means he doesn’t have them left :(

We do have 2 high paid WRers. But this coaching staff and front office inherited these guys. Doesn't mean they view them as integral to what they want to do.

There’s a lot of play types we used Landry for that we’ve been missing.

A frequent was using Landry, in motion, and then using him as a crossing route. Either underneath, or in the second level.

The same applies to the QB…….

It's really not.

They don't treat him like Jimmy G or Jared Goff. Hell, they don't even treat him like Cousins.

What? Really?

That’s interesting. I think that’s exactly like how they treat Baker. What’s funny is both of the guys you mentioned led their teams to Super Bowls but most people would probably agree that they weren’t the main reason why their teams got there.

If we made the Super Bowl people will make the same arguments about Baker. It will likely be a similar scenario. The QB’s on those teams were not their best or most important players. It would be the same with us and Baker.
