Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

For you Conklin haters who think he should be cut next year
One or two jailbreak pass rushes where he is a turnstile for the guy rushing over him, negates 4 games worth of otherwise pretty solid work. And there are definitely 1 or 2 instances still fresh in my mind where he let his assignment get a free shot at Mayfield.

That's the point... yes, I remember one specific time he made a misstep and the end ran around him for a sack. However, he has played 279 snaps so far this season. How can one or two bad plays possibly outweigh the other 277?

That’s the nature of RTs. If they were good enough they’d be LTs. We use to criticize Mitchell Schwartz all the time until he left and then we saw what blow average RT play looked like.

Literally never saw this anywhere. You post some weird stuff sometimes, fam.
I’ve seen a few posts where people have suggested that he should be an offseason cut to resign some of our big money free agents.

I'm not sure if I saw anyone calling for him to be cut, but I certainly have seen a fair amount of criticism. I'd be curious to see the split between his run blocking grade and pass blocking grade.

I know that I've seen two or three bad whiffs from Conklin in pass protection, but I will say that as much as I love Baker, he's by and large had a ton of time to throw the ball, and he's far too often held the ball for fucking ever. I don't specifically remember thinking he was holding it too long in the first two games, but after he fucked up that shoulder, he has looked so hesitant to trust himself and let that fucker rip.

I really do believe that Baker puts it back together soon. Tomorrow will be a stiff test, but I'm eager to see how he does. I'm cautiously optimistic. Hopefully we get off to a fast start and the Dawgs in the stands make it clear which fanbase is better represented in SoFi!

Isn’t Cooks a concussion away from having mashed potatoes for brains?

This team is somewhere in the 10-15 range of NFL teams. Definitely can be a playoff team, but dreams should be realistic. This is a first or second round exit at best. Which honestly we should be thrilled with. The Cleveland Browns will never be an elite team and that is ok.

I don’t know why I’m engaging with you given your elaborate trolling shtick, but yo...this isn’t the NBA. If you make the playoffs, any team can beat anybody in a single game.

If this team is fully healthy they can compete with literally anybody, and yes win. This is still probably the most talented roster in the NFL, top to bottom, and we probably win that Chargers game 7 out of 10 times we play them.

And frankly, we should have won yesterday. There were SEVERAL instances yesterday where a single play would have changed the outcome of the game. The most egregious of which being that abhorrent DPI call that turned a 4th down turnover into a Chargers TD.
