Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don’t know why I’m engaging with you given your elaborate trolling shtick, but yo...this isn’t the NBA. If you make the playoffs, any team can beat anybody in a single game.

If this team is fully healthy they can compete with literally anybody, and yes win. This is still probably the most talented roster in the NFL, top to bottom, and we probably win that Chargers game 7 out of 10 times we play them.

And frankly, we should have won yesterday. There were SEVERAL instances yesterday where a single play would have changed the outcome of the game. The most egregious of which being that abhorrent DPI call that turned a 4th down turnover into a Chargers TD.

There is talent. Which then makes you look closely at the coaching. The Eagles has a super team as well and they missed the playoffs. We will see if they get the next three at home. Anything less will be troubling. It’s a no excuse league. Always has been.

I'm on to Arizona.

Realistically, how can we possibly expect to slow Kyler Murray, Hopkins, etc down? Any halfway athletic qb has caused us fits. Hell, two TD's we gave up this week were unguarded wide open bombs.

I will say this though. If we get through the first 6 weeks at 4-2, with the schedule we've had so far, I'll take it.

LETS GO BROWNS!

Everyone is so caught up in their agendas and narratives but the real reason we lost was due to the fact that we couldn't play complimentary football. Not a single game this year have we been able to do that (Bears game might be a stretch). Say what you want about Baker/Stefanski but I think our offense as a whole did their job and up until yesterday, that output was 401-0 in NFL history (40+ points, 0 turnovers).

The defense was horrific trash. We expected to give up points to the Chargers but not 47, and none of it was given to them off an offensive turnover. I can't even say Woods called a bad game - I think we were destroyed with injuries and our safeties played like it was their first time in an NFL game. Both JJ3 and Delpit gave up enormous plays on 3rd down pretty regularly. These dudes gotta be better.

This team is easily 4-1 or even 5-0 without stupid and costly plays by the players. Instead we're hyper-focused on bashing Baker and using a UV Light on Stefanski.

I'm with SuperSurge - onto the next game.

I think there’s a small chance browns don’t make playoffs.

Always has been.

I wouldn't get too caught up in the standings right now. AFC South and East both probably don't send a team to the playoffs other than the division winner. The teams are that bad.

AFCW will be a bloodbath and not all of those teams are gonna be sitting so pretty as they are now. Broncos are frauds IMO, and Raiders likely an 9-8 team. If we win 11 I think we will make it for sure.

Chiefs and Chargers will still be playing teams in our division as well.

I so badly wanted browns to make them pay for all those 4th down gambles and even the 2pt conversion. It felt so disrespectful. Some BS calls and injuries. Is what it is. On to the next.

Kyler Murray got hurt yesterday

Part of me thinks that the team was looking ahead to ARZ by sitting guys yesterday. We definitely needs Wills and Conklin because we got Chandler Fucking Jones and JJ Fucking Watt coming in here on Sunday.

Are you implying they sat players thinking they could get away with one against LA while underhanded, or because they deemed it unlikely to go 2-0 in these games and elected to get guys healthy for a home game?

Neither seem likely to me… I think we’re just terribly beat up at key positions.

We have 3 games in 10 days including a cross country trip to LA. I don't expect any team to ever come out and admit it but they absolutely do look ahead when decided on sitting guys with injuries.
