Needed 4 points from Justin Tucker tonight.
Got 3.
Tied.
And Daniel Jones got hurt and I got 3 points from my QB.
Just not my year, boys.
Oh thats nothing.
Not to complain, but to explain that it could be worse, I will tell you what has happened to me the past five weeks.
I generally have a lot of success in Fantasy. Except in the RCF league. Which has snake-bitten me every year.
This year, I had the first pick, in a 14-team keeper league which means I get to draft one player out of the Top 40.
This year that pick has to be Chris McCaffrey.
Thankfully, I was able to keep a player that is a Top 30 player in George Kittle. By definition teams that draft first are top-heavy, and thanks to the waiver wire being in reverse drafting position, I can't replace my top players with the best available waiver wire guys.
Both those guys are hurt, and I lost in Week 3 because McCaffrey got injured early in the game. Lost by three points.
This week, I managed to cobble together a team by playing the waiver well. And I lost by 3.5 points because Kenny Golloday got hurt in the first quarter and scored zero points.
I am 1-4 because you cannot afford to lose your top players when picking first. And I am losing guys early in game. It is a lethal combination. In the past two weeks I have lost to the two worst teams in the league.
That and all manner of statistically unlikely things. I wish I could only lose because my players underperformed.
