I don't know how much more time is needed to figure out that the Baker-Beckham connection simply does not work.. For all intensive purposes, it should work but it just doesn't... You can pull out stats or pull out film to say why it should work or to identify missed opportunities but point blank, the connection is just not there...
That's why this off-season the Browns have to make a decision to keep Baker or Beckham, as the duo have run their course...
I say that more so from a long-term sustainability perspective then simply saying it's Baker or Beckham's fault..
If the Browns want to keep Baker, Beckham is not worth the money he is making for the low-level production you get back especially when the money is likely needed to support internal talent retention and there are plenty of weapons now available in the supporting cast where Beckham's skillset is not needed like it once was..
If the Browns move on from Baker, I think you at least explore what the next QBs connection with Beckham considering what he is capable of..
To me, you can't run this current connection back knowing it does not work and the cost and effect it has on the rest of the roster..
This isn't saying it's Baker's fault or Beckham's fault, as much as the ROI is simply not there to support the duo any more...
