They originally wanted to start him over Cedi. Different coaching staff now I guess. I think if he ends up beating out Okoro, they should be open to that.

they were trying to play Garland off Rubio recently I noticed although it was not pretty despite the creation optimism. No telling the thought process in CLE right now

I really want to see a Garland/Okoro/Windler/Laurie/Mobley group get some time together on the floor. I think you get enough defense, with enough shooting, ball movement, quick decision making and size to give some units problems.

Some sneaky complete rotations on the team this year, even if the wing situation isn't perfect. Last year it felt like it was tough finding a viable lineup with either the starters or the bench

Love to see this lineup too. I’m really excited for Windler. Just be patient with him and don’t do the Joe Harris and Denny Green treatment, and we’ll see production from him. I like the combo of Okoro, Windler, Lauri, and Mobley out there. Really great IQ all around and they’re all great passers as well as off the ball movement. This lineup can be lethal with more experience together.

Yes - let’s be patient with Windler and with this team in general. We’re loaded with underclassmen.

I know!
Rubio/Sexton/Okoro/Love/Mobley (w/Rubio initiating)
Garland/Windler/Wade/Laurie/Allen (pnr w/DG & JA with spot up shooters everywhere else)
Rubio/Okoro/Mobley/Laurie/Love (a big-ish line up.. Laurie or Mobley switching out to the 3)
Sexton/Okoro/Windler/Mobley/Markk (w/high post/elbow action for Mobley to find cutters in Sexton, Okoro and spot up shooters)

The only one playing defense in that bunch is Mobley.

wait, he stays in front of his man and forces a contested jump shot? Interesting.
Never said contested. When JBB puts him at the 2, then he may contest and even alter some shots. But last year? Can’t remember him altering a shot.
