How to watch Fox Sports Ohio Streaming

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I came to Pittsburgh from the Philippines last April. I would buy single games in league pass back in my country which costs less than a dollar. Now, I cant even watch cavs in league pass because of blackout. I dont have any cable/tv since I dont have the funds to buy one. Just watches basketball on my laptop. I just need a good alternative legal way to watch cavs. I would be willing to pay if the price is right.

There legitimately is no alternative legal way. Just shady free streaming sites, and sketchy IPTV.

nbabite.com tends to have decent free streams, they just won't always be the Cavs broadcast. Hell, I'm using an IPTV that's included with one of my torrent sites, and the only stable feed tends to be a minute or two behind live time.

How is the NBA ok with Sinclair strongarming NBA customers into buying a subscription service to watch the NBA product?
They don't care.

As it stands, Bally Sports loses money every year on RSNs, it was a money pit for Sinclair.

They've talked about a $23 a month subscription streaming service, and even that's going to lose them money at that price.

The NBA should care. Sinclair is turning away younger fans, the people who want to watch the NBA, because they refuse to play nice with streaming services like Hulu/YoutubeTV/etc. That leaves the 50+ year olds who still have traditional cable as the ones who have access to the games, and those are the same people who are losing interest in the NBA product.

The NBA should REALLY care about what's going on there. That's why I'm shocked they've allowed this to happen for over a year. Same with MLB too but so much of MLB's fan base is an older demographic.

So tried using vpn and bought league pass using an india server(costs 20$) but it seems league pass does not work with vpn. I hate not being able to watch NBA here in the US. This was not a problem for me back in the Philippines.

It's a nightmare, and the US will make anything great awful by the way the monetize and bloat the crap out of it.

I was able to get Bally sports. The app is awful and won't start the video, only the ads will play. The website will stream the game, but the ads freeze the game and I have to refresh every time there is a commercial.

I just want to reiterate I am in a major city 5+ hrs from Cleveland by car with no major league sports teams. The closest team is Indy at 2 hrs away and Pacers, Hawks, Cavs and Grizzlies games are all considered in market and are blacked out. 3 of those teams are more than 5 hrs away.

They really need to just pay a royalty to the local broadcaster for league pass and remove blackouts. They don't even make sense

NBA has been blocking the IPs of a lot of the well known VPNs this year. They're determined to make sure no one can watch games.

Honestly need to do something about media consolidation. It is out of control. There will be 3 channels again soon. Sinclair didn't negotiate the contract with the NBA they bought up the rights. Media consolidation like this used to be a crime

I'm curious how the NBA gets their TV money when Bally Sports goes bankrupt, because it's basically a certainty at this point.

I think the MLB is actually hoping they go bankrupt so they can buy the rights back in bankruptcy. They basically said they will only agree for Bally's to do a streaming service if they are a equal stake holder in the venture. I expect the NBA feels the same way but isn't as vocal about it. I think Silver said that the RNS are worth half of what Sinclair paid for them.

I wonder what Bally Sports going bankrupt would do to the salary cap. This is going to be a fun situation to follow, all the while, I find every shady way of not paying the NBA or Bally Sports any money.

The model has to change for the NBA and MLB. The number just don't make sense for subscription or even sticking with cable/streaming services for the future. Cable is going to die at some point. The MLB and NBA recently said at some conference that they aren't picking up younger viewers and they know it's a problem.

As broadcast tv expands, I think they will have to shift some of their games back on to local tv networks. I have seen a shift in what is being offered on broadcast tv substations change in recent months. It's slowly looking like what cable tv once looked like in the 80's and 90's. I get 80+ channels off my antenna. It's only going to expand when atsc 3.0 fully expands.

Live sports is really the only programing that makes good money off ads. People watch it live and don't fast forward through the ads. It's only logical that live sports ends up on networks that have the widest reach to people which is broadcast tv. The NFL has kept broadcast tv as the core part of their model. Every home market game is on broadcast tv.

Sinclair got to buy the rights because the FCC didn't want abc/ESPN/Disney to own the RNS's. It back fired because Sinclair doesn't have any channels other than the RNS's that people want. They couldn't tie them to a package of channels that fox did with FS1, FS2, FX, etc.

I think some of the problem is all these sports just got on to too many channels and each wanted their piece of the pie. Like why does the big ten need their own network that shows us their worse games. I think the NFL's model is the best, try to show your games to as many as possible mostly over broadcast tv.

The NBA streaming model is so dumb. If you had high quality streams, any game, no blackouts - i bet a lot of people would be willing to pay for that. I would probably do up to 500 for that. But instead you get shitty quality streams with ads all over the place for way too much money and media blackouts
