Ex Indians update

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cookie Carrasco has undergone elbow surgery to remove a bone fragment. The Mets don't seem to be too concerned with it... enough to say Carrasco will be ready to go from the outset of spring training.. Hope he's okay.. he's good guy..

Very few ex-Indians do I continue to pull for. Carlos Santana......Cookie.......that's about it. I'd add Klubs to that also, but I'm not pulling for a Yankee.

Kluber and Brantley, I will always love and root for but damn their current clubs make that hard.

Carlos Carrasco Undergoes Surgery To Remove Bone Fragment From Pitching Elbow

By Mark Polishuk | October 20, 2021 at 5:51pm CDT

5:51 pm: Carrasco isn’t expected to miss more than around one week of Spring Training action, reports Tim Healey of Newsday (Twitter link).
1:47 pm: The Mets announced that right-hander Carlos Carrasco underwent surgery yesterday in New York to have a bone fragment removed from his throwing elbow. No specific timeline was given on Carrasco’s recovery, except that he will “resume baseball activities later this winter.”
2021 was already an injury-riddled season for Carrasco, who tossed only 53 2/3 innings over 12 starts after suffering a torn right hamstring during Spring Training. Initially projected to miss between 6-8 weeks, Carrasco instead didn’t make his season debut until July 30, and then didn’t look like himself in posting a 6.04 ERA. Carrasco’s 4.44 SIERA was more flattering, but his 21.1% strikeout was by far his lowest since the 2013 season (when Carrasco tossed only 46 2/3 innings in his first year back after Tommy John surgery).

There are a lot of ex Indians that I root for. Kipnis is another that I follow.

These guys gave their all when they wore the jersey...and were good guys.

Here is a blast from the past... Just outrighted off the Marlins 40 man roster. Surprised he is still around, 7 teams and 5 separate years in the Big Leagues including his ML debut with Cleveland in 2013. Only 35 innings pitched in MLB in all those years with his longest campaign in 2014 a whopping 10.2 innings. We traded him to Baltimore for.... Does anyone remember??? I sure as hell didn't.

Torsten Boss <-- click on name for link to his Baseball Reference page.

Here is to Preston Guilmet!!!

I dont remember this guy at all, so I had to look him up.

We traded him for Torsten Boss, a 23 yr old util, who never got above A+... for good reasons.

I remember Preston well.

But that is because I spent time with him socially. Not sure I would remember him off his MLB appearances alone

I remember Guilmet just not sure who Boss is lol

Career ERA of 9 over 35 innings is pretty impressive, mainly because he made it to that many innings pitching like that
