What would you guys offer BOston of they decide to break Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum? CAn we even afford them?

We have nothing to offer for Tatum and Brown or really any star player outside of unprotected firsts.

If Boston makes a move, and they really need to do something, I bet it’s trading Brown for either Beal or Lillard. Tatum & Beal grew up in the same area, went to the same high school, and have dreamt of playing together.

it’s unlikely the Cavs have the ammo to trade for Brown, without including Mobley, who the Celtics would want.

Watching the game last night and the way the game is called now is so different that I think it completely flips who is and is not a contender if this keeps up.

Teams led by tougher, more physical players should be favored. Miami, for instance, won't have a problem playing a more physical style. Butler, Lowry, and Adebayo will thrive in an environment wherein they're allowed to be physical all night.

Think this could finally be Utah's year. Gobert will have a much bigger impact in the post-season if they keep calling fouls like this.

Cannot stress enough how bad the Dallas trade for Josh Richardson has worked out for them.

They not only gave up a pick, but they traded back Seth Curry, who has continued to improve late in his career. He's playing some elite level basketball at shooting guard. Dallas would be a contender with him on the team.

it‘s incredible how sensitive basketball outcomes are to officiating

the nba might be tempted to reverse the changes so a small number of predictable stars can score a zillion ppg

They suck. But OKC sucks even more. I didn't bother watching because I knew they'd blow it in the fourth, and they did. They and the Pistons are bottom at scoring with 96 ppg and under 30% 3-ball. OKC is still the worst in point differential, so they are the worst team overall in the league, statistically. :(
Those OKC city edition unis are so white.

Going back to at least the mid 70s the East has always been more physical with a slower pace and the West has been the reverse. Interesting that the East is doing so well this season at the same time the officiating is favoring physical play.

wouldn't touch either given they both had bad reactions to the pandemic and it is reflected in their stamina. Highly skilled players careers suddenly being rinsed away rather fast.

Certainly our young guards have value.

Maybe Boston doesn't want them.......but OKC has a bazzilion draft picks.

I'd imagine OKC would take either, send a pick to Boston.

Boston can take whichever of the two they like (Garland / Sexton), OKC 1st, CLE 1st.

To me, that is at least in the ballpark.

I would still view it as unlikely but if Cleveland is willing to unprotect their pick, I think it is at least a conversation for Boston's FO.
