Garland 9-34 in last 34 attempts. Terrible in a Okoro way.
Efficiency is trying to score as many points per possession as you can.Math notwithstanding is not the case! It’s the amount of three ball shots taken and when they are taken (ie not in the flow of game). Taking three balls on a 3 on 1 fast break or firing up 3-4 three ball shots in a single possession when you’re down one point is stupid basketball.
That is probably what...5% of possessions where you are down one late or in a 3 on 1 fb. 95% of the time the three is a better shot. And sometimes, the three is the better shot even in the situations you described, for example if you have Duncan Robinson or Kyle Korver out there.Math notwithstanding is not the case! Garland shot 9-27 this game, and was 8-16 this game before taking that shot to the head and going to the locker room. Came back out and tried to finish the game and went 1-11. Give the dude a break. He took a forearm/elbow to the face and continued to play. Without Garland this game would have been a 20pt blowout.Garland 9-34 in last 34 attempts. Terrible in a Okoro way.
They'll steal some games. They're really playing hard and I feel like they're still about to lose 10-12 games in a row and I worry, mentally, they'll just be done after that.
If they don't beat Orlando, they'll be underdogs in probably the next eight games.
Season could completely implode in the next two weeks.
I’m sorry….we’ll just have to agree to disagree. It’s clear you are just a fan of the three point shot. There’s nothing efficient about firing up a three pointer on a 3 on 1 break. You can’t tell me a lay up isn’t more efficient than a three pointer. And according to your statement of shooting 60% on mid range shots as opposed to a 40% shooter taking three pointers…..if that’s the case only Joe Harris and the Curry brothers are currently shooting over 42% from three ball land. So nobody else should be firing them up at a rapid clip. And I wasn’t talking about firing three balls late in a game down one! That’s an every day occurrence in the NBA at any point in time during a game. Again everybody has their preference of style of game. I have no problem with the three ball I just think it’s over and misused. I consistently see teams going 9-27 or even 8-32 from three land but continue to jack them up. Probably - and maybe also the key to giving up 117?Lauri comes back and we score over 110, Lauri the key to 100ppg Cavs?
There’s some truth in both of those statements.Probably - and maybe also the key to giving up 117?
There’s some truth in both of those statements.
