Well, to be fair, they call him a diva.If Wander Franco is a diva, I’d really hate to see the things people call Fernando Tatis Jr.
Sorry but you guys have evidently never watched him play. Watch him in 2022 and form your own opinions instead of dismissing mine outright.I am missing it.
Hey, I admit to being old school. In football, I prefer guys who score TDs act like they’ve done it before instead of playing juvenile games in the end zone. But that’s me and I readily admit that younger people enjoy the over the top celebrations. To each his own. BTW, I too wish the Guardians had players like Franco.I love the Tim Andersons and Tatis Jrs of baseball, makes the sport fun. Get excited about your success! There's so much chest pumping, flexing and celebratory dances in every sport but don't you dare flip your bat after a HR. We can't hurt the poor little pitcher's feelings, so dumb.
I’m not going to argue with you or spend time searching and linking Wander videos to show why I have my opinion. You disagree with me. That’s your prerogative.Like @Stark said, if you made this argument about Tatis Jr or even Acuna you could at least point to several examples of them being flashy, showboating, dogging it, etc. to prove the point you are trying to make.
You cannot do the same for Franco and I'd implore anyone to find more than 1 example of him being extra.
But apparently this guy is the only one here who has watched Franco play. I cannot believe he celebrated hitting a postseason HR in the same way that the rest of the league does. Almost puked when I saw the screenshot on last page.
Yeah, MLB desperately needs more trash talking. Who needs good sportsmanship?Pimping home runs and having the pride to trash talk is one thing desperately needed in this game.
Hitters, pitchers, defense. Take pride and be cocky about the skills that got you to the show.
This isn’t the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, I don’t want to see how beautiful and calmly you can trot.
I want to see the dogs on my team using high energy to formulate confidence and chemistry as a team. That builds culture.
Yeah, MLB desperately needs more trash talking. Who needs good sportsmanship?
So trash talking now equates with competitiveness? If so, I’m happy to be a “hypocrite” by your myopic definition.Who needs competitiveness and gamesmanship when you can have hypocrites preach about their antiquated and disingenuous views on “sportsmanship?”
