Devin Booker has that old school mid-range game mastered. It is beautiful to watch.

People think Lebron became this big, strong, conditioned, skilled, etc just by being born. Nah man, he worked and works the hardest. Harder than anyone.

The difference between Lebron and Luka is that Lebron had it hard in life.

I dunno -- I agree completely about LBJ working his ass off. But there are guys who had it hard growing up who slacked off and got fat, and there are guys who came from "easier" backgrounds who worked their asses off. I think it's a lot more about the individual than it is just looking at the circumstances surrounding them.

I am probably going to regret this in the future, but I'm gonna say it, Doncic isn't the dude right now. He's a front runner.

His mental game is so beyond weak. He'd make Charlie Villanueva look like a stoic presence on the court. Yapping at the refs non-stop. Barking at benchwarmers when he converts a bucket.

He's a great passer and has the Harden step back game to go with the occasional bully ball inside. That said, there's no in between game to speak of right now, and he's in his own head half the time he's out there.

I don't expect him to come close to playing out that contract, and the tune will be "free Luka - poor guy has no help!" He's a punk.

The Knicks might be an interesting trade partner.

RJ Barrett has been pretty bad so far. Kemba Walker is shooting the ball well but the Knicks ahve been awful with him on the court.

Potential there to maybe find some bench help.

Isn't RJ coming on the same extension Collin is looking for?

Ayton and Bridges were fuckin' up Golden State. CP3 does what he is wont to do.

The thing that gets me about the Suns is how damn effective Crowder is for them.

The Cavs almost beating the Suns w/no Mobley (and with the Suns receiving ref help) looks a little better now.

Had to reread that to make sure that I didn't have it backwards.

How has he been that bad???

From when I watch him:

He has the same effect on the offense as LeBron always has, and how Harden did for a few years in Houston. There's just nothing going on - anywhere - in terms of movement off the ball when he has it. Everyone is standing around, giving him space to play his game.

The shooters around him are not good enough to make that work. The Rockets had it figured out when they literally stacked the team with catch and shoot guys around Harden and CP3. The Mavericks don't have those. Luka isn't the caliber of player that LeBron is, so he's not elevating guys' games with his play either. And this is assuming he hasn't mentally lost it at any given point, when he simply reverts to a 1 on 5 player who complains to the refs while he's doing it.

Compounding all of it, Luka is *bad* defensively. Teams can get whatever they want by putting him in their action, and KP is also a poor PnR defender. Any team that has the ability to put both of them in that action simultaneously is simply going to feast.

Luka's talent is breathtaking and he has all the potential in the world, but I'd call the mental side of his development, or lack thereof, a major disappointment.

The Mavs problem is that they don't have the same types of tough defenders Houston had. It's JUST shooters.

Ariza and Tucker and Capela would all defend and cover for him.

Hardaway and Kleber and Porzingis (since his injuries) aren't doing that. They're a shitty ass defensive team, again.

And then they got super unlucky with the one trade they made to try and bring in a tougher defender.

IF you put Seth Curry back on that team I think it looks entirely different.

Uhoh LeBron about to become a member of the Kyrie Irving anti-vax team!

I wonder if it's about COVID. Apparently he told Davis he's asymptomatic. It's LeBron, could be about literally anything. The face punch, the Indiana death wish....

Lol Giannis has so many injection site scars on his right hand it's hilarious. I wonder how much shit he injects.

Probably more than David.
