I chose Rodgers because if he's available, he's easily the choice. We're talking about a guy who should be in every GOAT conversation.

I think Wilson is much more likely than Rodgers, but still fairly unlikely.

Baker's 5th year option has already been picked up. Baker is guaranteed $18.8 Mil next year.

If it wasn't guaranteed, I could see the team exploring other options.

As it is, with $18.8 Mil sunk, the Browns stick with Baker for another year unless a trade opens up.

They are not going to eat a contract that big.

Exactly. Rodgers should be the 100% answer if we’re being asked what the Browns SHOULD do…

I preface this with my vote being they let him ride in 2022.

The Browns should not give up significant assets for any current league quarterback, be it picks or a contract for Baker.

They 100% should be attempting to transfer from Baker to a rookie contract QB, preferably taken in the first round.

Not because they can’t compete, but the advantageous extension of the window with the rookie deal. It’s my ideal scenario. To take a QB who can play league average on a rookie deal in this specific scheme.

It’s not a huge ask to be the Browns QB in Kevin’s scheme.

My total preference is to draft a WR, sign a WR, and use assets in 2023 to secure a rookie QB the team values long term.

In 2022 draft, I have six first round grade WR. Burks, Wilson, Olave, Dotson, Bell, and London. No order.

They're certainly not going to eat the contract by releasing Mayfield unless his behavior or play becomes so rotten that they have no choice.

IMO if the Browns internally decide they're going to replace Baker - either with a draft pick, a veteran acquired via trade or a veteran free agent - they will trade Baker away before (or simultaneously) actually acquiring someone else.

I get what you're saying, but ultimately an elite QB trumps the competitive advantage of hitting on cost controlled rookie QB. At least in my opinion.

If the Browns do have an opportunity to acquire someone they think can be elite, they should do it and attempt to win the Super Bowl.

Right now there is a "perception" that Russ is playing awful this year and continuing his "regression" from the end of last year. I'm seeing it all over social media.

Now I haven't watched him play so from a limited and statistical standpoint... he seems fine to me. A bit below what he normally outputs but still a damn good QB. I'm enjoying this - if there's any chance to swing a trade it'll probably be this upcoming offseason.

If off the field were no concern, my #1 would be Watson without question. Rodgers would also be my #1 if I thought he wanted to come here at all, becauase it seems like he only wants to go West Coast.

The obvious word on the draft class is that none of them are worth it, so I am out on that. If our FO loves Corrall or Strong or Willis or whoever, then go get him.

I am not interested in any sort of veteran re-tread. The likelyhood of finding a Tannehill who all of a sudden improves a ton seems too slim.

I think the only realistic options are trade for Russ or default to one more year with Baker.

I dont like the Idea of paying the Oline this much money then going out and wasting these years with Baker at the head. I'm really hoping Baker's play is due to injury and he will bounce back next year but of we have a chance to trade for any of these QBs you do it.

Trading for Watson would be such a riot.
He's a pretty disgusting person, and I doubt he will be able to prove his innocence, but if he is deemed innocent?

I would. It's gross, but I'd do it.

I don't think I could take Watson, even if he was found innocent. With the amount of shit our fans talk to Steelers fans about their scumbag quarterback...they would give it back to us and then some. I know many football players are not ideal humans, but I'd like for my quarterback to not come with this sort of public baggage.

I can completely understand. I'm so sick of losing this is something I would probably be okay with.

Russ.

Aaron Rodgers is 43. Watson is of questionable character. Baker is exposed.

FRT if I thought Rodgers had 3-4 good years left in him this is a no-brainer. Feels like if the trade could happen, it would go bad somehow.

I think most of us would be outraged at acquiring Watson.... until he came in and started the season 3-0.

If we're replacing Baker, it's Russ. But I don't think it happens.
