Week #16 - Browns @ Packers 3:30pm Christmas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There's nothing new here

Baker isn't Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers isn't available

The refs don't help us

The wr also suck

Baker isn't it, probably, but everyone here so aggressively hates him that they're picking every single thing apart and blaming him for it.

I like Baker, I want him to succeed, but I'd like a superbowl more.
Agreed.

Not all on Baker

Fans expect Baker to deliver perfect strikes

WRs on other teams, good teams in general, they go MAKE plays. Our WRs, they don't know what making a fucking play is. THE worst room in the league after today.

If a called passing play results in a wide open player and Baker throws the ball poorly, is that a sign of shit coaching?

Like are we at the point where Stefanski should just never call a passing play period because Baker might fuck it up?

QBs have to be able to hit simple pass plays when they’re open. That’s all there is to it.
Mayfield can't hit simple pass plays consistently. So yes, it would be a good idea to minimize the number of times they ask him to do it.

It's possible to have shit QBs and shit receivers.

The Browns are (un)lucky enough to have both.

This may very well be true, but the Browns fixing one issues of these issues will magically fix the other issue.

I’ll let everyone guess which one it is.

Think I gotta take Berry off the avatar. Dude failed at the WR room and Kicker and its rearing it's ugly head the most.

Because you had to stick with Baker going in

Now him and Stefanski can find their guy
We just need WRs. Get off the ledge. We're gonna be fine.

You watched the game. Did you expect Baker to make accurate throws in crunch time?

If I draw up a good play, but don’t take into account my ability for my players to execute, did I really draw up a good play?

Bottom line. No excuse for not running with 3 TOs at midfield. Especially when they were already at the line after the measurement.

If it matters both of my BILs thought browns got thoroughly fucked by the refs all game, the browns wide receivers suck and wonder why KS went away from the run.

Also Baker didn't play great but was terrible either

I know you can't blame all 4 INTs on him, but also, 4 INTs is a joke. And to top it off, he hasn't thrown more than 2 TDs in a game all season. When your season high for picks is higher than TDs, you're having a shit season. Maybe an offseason with healing, surgeries, ect. sorts it out. But it's a lot of poor judgement on his part and the coaching staff's part for him to be out there if he's actively hurting our chances to win games.

True, but this is also where Stefanski getting cute loses you games. The running game was not working last week, but he ran on that final third down. The running game WAS working this week, but he throws it three straight times with three timeouts left. He tries to fix what is working imo.

Technically this is off-topic, but it’s for the best.

Get the hell out of here and go listen to our last Rubber Rim Job rcf podcast.

We don’t use the words Browns or Baker even once.

You’ll like it.

The screen on second down really tied their hands.. They’ve been passing on first down all game, nothing new..

The problem wasn’t playcalling, it was execution..

First down, Njoku was open with a well placed ball but Baker over threw him..

Second down, if Campbell doesn’t make that play Johnson had forever to run.. That play put them behind the sticks…

Third down, you could argue here call a run to get yards back with 3 TOs and it being fourth down territory.. Just tough no-call and even tougher result…
They ran on first down to start that possession. There was no reason to ever stop. By not running, you open the door for Baker to fuck up on first down, the defense to make a play on second, Baker fucking up third, and a blown call on fourth.

I love you bob, but the lack of accountability Baker stans have for him and his play is incomprehensible to me..

Rodgers is playing with Davante Adams and a bunch of JAGs.. Lazard was undrafted, Lewis is a blocking TE who can barely move and Deguara is a glorified H-BACK who has 19 career receptions..
Yet he’s somehow able to throw 3 TDs and 0 INTs..

Browns WRs aren’t the best group in the league, but pointing the blame at the group is a scapegoat for a consistently inaccurate QB..

Im just passing along what two guys who aren't browns fans thought of the game...

I'm not here to defend my BILs opinions.

Especially the ass hole pats fan. Damn my sister for marrying a new England fan

Not making any excuses for Baker, but its utterly mind blowing how a play that decides the game doesnt get called correctly.

Utterly mind blowing. Some drunk guy watching the broadcast can do a better job than refs on the field alone.

If Baker Mayfield doesn’t throw three interceptions, does the last drive even matter?

Blaming this on play calling when they had over 400 yards is absolutely insane.

I’m just sick of this shit.

Baker Mayfield is a starting QB in the NFL that thinks he deserves a massive contract extension. He’s made over 50 starts. He’s not some rookie fuckwad. He has to be able to make simple football plays. No more “well Stefanski should know better than to trust his QB!” bullshit.

If Baker can just execute a simple pitch and catch to Njoku OR Landry, this is going for first down easily.

That is more valuable than running Chubb for 5 yards and that’s why Stefanski called the fucking play.

Execute better. No excuses.
