the offensive line last year was elite, and very easily top 2 in the league.
The offensive line this year has been full of injuries, COVID, and mediocre play.
That’s statistically not factual.

Bullshit. Blake Hance, Michael Dunn and James fucking Hudson the 3rd would strongly disagree. Bitonio is the only OL that has been great all year. Took Teller about 4-6 weeks but yea, he's also been great. Tretter has been ok.
Any Qb not named Rodgers or Brady who has had a revolving door at OL would struggle. Throw in a decapitated arm and its not gonna be easy.
These arent excuses.
Nobody serious is saying this. Any QB going through OL lineup changes every fucking week, especially the level of drop-off from Conklin/Wills to a Hance/Hudson, would have a difficult time adjusting.Sounds like Baker needs everything perfect for him to play like a top 15 QB on a given week. I’d rather just get a top 15 QB.
They were elite last year practically across the board and they have had 2 elite guys this year (Teller & Bitonio) with a hobbled Tretter and a revolving door at LT & RT.That’s statistically not factual.

Show me these stellar grades for Blake Hance, James Hudson, and Michael Dunn. Hance can't play fucking dead. And yet, somehow, are 1/12 after being 2/13. So, what is it? They’re still a top performing OL, undoubtedly top five as a whole.
And dude, I'm all for having a serious talk about Baker's future. But you're not being a serious person. Really earning your handle nameAnd yet, somehow, are 1/12 after being 2/13. So, what is it? They’re still a top performing OL, undoubtedly top five as a whole.
Were you sober enough to actually see what was going on? Because he was missing all over the place. He should have had another interception in the 2nd half that was just flat out dropped. On the final drive alone he grossly missed a wide open Njoku twice right before the pick.I don't know. I go back and forth on Baker Mayfield because when I was at the Green Bay game, outside of 2 fucked INT's that shouldn't have counted Baker was ripping the ball into some tight window throws and making some snap decisions.
I actually thought he didn't play that awful and that includes 4 fucking picks. The sacks suck, but we once again had penalties that put us into shitty down and distance situations.
I think his issues are fixable once healthy and I think that's the likeliest route for this team.
Not defending Baker here but I think it's a bit disingenuous to use a season accumulated PBWR to describe how the offensive line has been in recent weeks. Conklin played almost half the games played this year - where the line is right now is not where it was when he was playing. It's like if the Packers were graded to be #1 in QB play (random BS stat) and lose Aaron Rodgers for the 2nd half of the year, and in week 16 they're like, "Well they're still #1 in QB play!"They have the number one pass rush win rate! They win 68% of their blocks.
They are 100% excuses. Baker makes pockets bad because he can’t operate within them.
Edit: On RBWR, they are 12th.
So they are first in PBWR, 12th in RBWR, but we have poor offensive line play. Last year they were second and 13th. Consistently a top offensive line with or without injuries.
Pretty much my stance still. Upgrade if possible, but no reclamation projects when we have one lolI just don't think we can get another QB right now, at least not one that hasn't already fizzled.
No need to acquire a reclamation project for next year when we already have one.
That said, I'll be pretty irritated if Pittsburgh gets one of the good ones.Pretty much my stance still. Upgrade if possible, but no reclamation projects when we have one lol
Pittsburgh has some very fun WRs and TEs, could you blame any of these QBs looking to move teams for wanting to go there? That said, I'll be pretty irritated if Pittsburgh gets one of the good ones.
Rodgers has been slurping Pittsburgh all year. Talking about how he loves the city, wearing yinzer shirts, etc...That said, I'll be pretty irritated if Pittsburgh gets one of the good ones.
