LeBron played and played pretty well.

That was a game I'm still mad at myself about. It was a late game and I called it quits with them down double digits late in the fourth so I could get a good night's sleep for the next day. I woke up, saw what happened, and wasted potential productivity on watching the ending on Youtube instead.
That was one of the few games where Kawhi got absolutely torched on defense. He couldn't slow Kyrie down no matter what he did. Then they put Danny Green on him to help and Kyrie started dropping contested threes on him too.

I think this trip, funny enough, it’s about us getting our identity back. After Ricky (Rubio) got hurt, we saw us falter a little bit into an identity that I didn’t think was us. Over these past three, four games, we’re starting to learn how to play Cavs basketball again, how to share the ball and how to defend. - Jarrett Allen after the win over San Antonio

Everybody’s starting to get comfortable in their roles again. We had a little breakdown with the COVID situation. But everybody’s starting to get their feel back...Darius Garland

Okoro is back, Rondo should be back any day, and the Cavs are getting their identity back and playing great basketball. To top it off, we're done with all road trips west of Houston and have the easiest schedule in the league over the last half. All the arrows are pointing up.

I honestly still can’t believe how this season has gone. And it’s not a fluke by any means. Somehow we are growing our own big 3. This is not lebron talking other stars to play together. This is a very young fun team that like each other.

you know, this felt like it was about to happen last season when they had just made the trade for Allen and KPjr was about to come back.. Cavs were a tough out team...

and then soup was thrown Love never made it back on the floor, Delly got injured (which had a bigger impact than people gave it credit for) and Cavs never recovered.

Now it's all in place. Garland has grabbed the mantle as evolutionary Nash, Mobley is for-fucking-real, Allen is proving to be money well spent and Kevin is healthy and not throwing tantrums. Even Cedi has figured out he's better not doing too much.

Good time to be a Cavs fan.

Jarrett Allen is fucking gem. Seems like a genuine good dude. Rubio was a season altering injury. I feel like our ceiling was much higher with him in the rotation. Saying that, we have options at the trade deadline. Should be very interesting. These guys need a long playoff series at least to get their feet wet.

. SA outplayed us that game, but we won off of a transcendent performance from Kyrie.Such a talent, he and LeBron should have gone down in the books as an ATG duo.

All that team needed was one more good player (not Kevin Love) or Durant not going to GS to become one of the greatest dynasties ever. I’m still not over it.

Amazing considering Allen challenges EVERYTHING
That's in reading order too. Players shoot 46.6% at the rim when JA or Giannis are guarding it, making them the two best rim protectors in the league. To get to JA though, you have to get by #3 Mobley first.

This upcoming game vs. San Antonio should be a good learning experience. Pop always gives you a magnification of your offensive weaknesses by taking away what works best. I recall the game years ago with LeBron and Kyrie where Kyrie dropped 57. Pop let our slashers go by their bigs so the bigs could trail and get easy swats on our layups. It got Kyrie into a funk until he got hot from three. We didn't get a good game from our guys against Golden State to get that learning experience against a great coach. I think we will against San Antonio. Our lineup with so many bigs should get Pop's interest because it's a new type of challenge.

So what do you think we learned?

maybe, or maybe the effort isn't there in 2017 finals after winning the year before, Irving demands a trade still and who knows.. I don't like KD jumping to the Warriors, but LeBron gave him the blueprint. Is what it is.

And now the Cavs, in part because of going through those seasons, are on the cusp of building a year-in-year out contender for the next 3-4 seasons. Maybe more if they play their cards right.

we do options but I think and hope we do not do anything radical. We know who not is going to traded in mobley, garland and allen.
Okoro ? possibly, but man he is only 20 years old and I rather see him grow with us
Love? possibly but I think he has more value in next years deadline. I guess the bet is to move him now while he is productive and healthy and I can see that point, but what bad contract do we have to take back
Cedi ? possibly but it appears the light has gone for him, he is productive and cheap

Lauri? Kind if liking our triple towers

Rubio's expiring will be dealt, maybe packaged with Lamar, Wade or Windler. Hopefully Windler
I like Lamar, perfect couple with Okoro. Wade can play multiple positions. Not easy finding guys like wade and Stevens

I would like to see this team grow together. Frankly think we need more pg help than a wing at this point. A true pg with playmaking skills

I think Rondo is serviceable for the remainder of the year. I like what I am seeing with Goodwin. He needs to play IMO, we have to limit garlands minute. 37 a night is too much

3-4 seasons? Why not 8-9?

Go get Bogdanovich. Hawks are done. Only 3.5 GB of the play in but showing no signs of life at 2-8 over the last 10.
Bogey would be a great pickup. I was looking at the Cavs schedule and it really eases up. So much so that it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re atop the East by the end of February. We’re about to run off about 10 wins in a row as Memphis just did.
