Anyone else play JRPGs?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I started this and immediately put it down for BD, but through the first 3 hours it was fun. Worth continuing?
Only if you really like platforming and puzzle solving in the dungeons. Up until the halfway part in the temples, it's more of a straightforward RPG with occasional platform/puzzle elements, but the latter half starts incorporating the platform and puzzle elements a lot more.

Its an interesting combination. The early puzzles were super easy. Is the class system at least interesting? I dont think I've unlocked anything relevant yet

Yeah the early puzzles are super easy, but later ones get more challenging. The class system is quite fun. Lots of options to explore in the ascension tree for battles, especially as your party members add new classes. A number of my party members have three classes now.

Well, I persevered and beat Astria Ascending today! Put a bunch of hours into it this weekend.

How did it end up? What's next on the list?
It was pretty good. Crashed a few times during some important load/cutscenes toward the end, so I actually had to beat the final boss 2x...ugh. But I ended up enjoying it overall. I did about 80% of the side quests and hunts. Total game play was a little over 40 hours.

Got a baby due in mid January, so this was my last major gaming project.

Here we go! This is one of the best series ever in JRPG history!
Gonna add sky to my steam list. I've seen these a few times on steam sales but always got intimidated by Trails of Cold steel 4 always being the one advertised. Looks like a good series I need to try

I love the series in general. Trails of Cold Steel 1-4 is honestly such an amazing set of games... I think I've played through the first two at least 6 times each (you can play it on vita, Ps3, Ps4 and steam now)... 4 gets so complicated since it wraps up all seven games but there is more past it as well coming out lol

Why didn't they publish this the other day... This is another article on Legend of Heroes series... Lists all the games...

So who is playing the new pokemon game? Lol

This game was needed like 5 years ago. I have played at least one of every gen Pokemon game since RBY and the games have been super stale since BW. They tried to change things up with SuMo but didn't fix the core problems.

Arceus has been excellent thru 15 hours. The new battle system is a little too simplified for my taste, but otherwise I like the new things you need to do and i think EXP share on makes way more sense in this game format. Graphics are a step up above SwSh which was a pleasant surprise. I am not buying Pokemon for HD 4k graphics so not a big deal to me.

On another note, I finally got around to playing and finishing FF9. It was pretty good but I dont really see why everyone thinks its the best FF. I haven't played enough to judge, but this game felt weaker than quite a few other JRPGs I have played.
