Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #75 | Magic @ Cavs | March 28, 2022 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ok so we were saved by the Magic openly tanking.

LeVert was bad. Really bad.

I am truly amazed that the coach was essentially forced to play Brown, watched him give the team a much needed boost for 6 minutes and then simply wasn't gonna play him again. If the Magic play their starters down the stretch, we probably lose and would have deserved it.

Like I get these aren't the players you like, brother. but they're the dudes you have and playing guys continuously out of position, battling with players bigger and stronger and asking them to do more than they're capable ALL OF THE TIME is going to get players hurt. It just will.
So JBB should have played Brown instead of Mobley? Ok then.

LeVert was ass. ASS.
Mobley possibly gone for the rest of the season with that sprain? WTF.
Lauri came back. Thank goodness.
Windler came in for LeVert and immediately was an improvement, and may have saved the game.
A winning season WITHOUT LeBron, we're finally here after all this BULLSHIT.

I'll take it.
(But if Mobley ain't coming back, I'm glad with this team being 42-40 or 43-39 to end the season off a shut down)

Both the Knicks and starter less Celtics up. Let's hope that holds up

Hopefully Mobley isn’t out too long, tough 4 in 5 nights starting Wednesday.

First winning season without LeBron since 1997-1998

First winning season without LeBron in 25 years.

And it's not even close either, in the non LeBron years from 97-98 through today, the high water win mark has been 33 wins(the 2013-2014 Spencer Hawes led Cabs)

A team made up of primarily guys in year 4 or under.

A season with TONS of injuries and seemingly overtime we get healthy or down to just one key injured played still out, another one goes down.
Just think if we had a halfway competent coach and the refs weren’t out to screw us every game we’d be pushing 55 wins. Maybe 60.

I wanted Brown to come in before Windler ultimately did and they were up against reserves.
No more Kevin Love center minutes... I don't care about the spacing. Brown has to go in when Love is in there. Ed Davis, even. Play the guys who give you the best matchups...

My god.

The Cavs shot 36% in the 4th and won by 6. Orlando is really bad.

Wait - WUT? Mobley done for the year? Man, are we limping to the finish line. Would have been nice to get him some playoff experience.

Let's look at the individual stats.

Starters:

LeVert 8-7-6 with a steal and a block in 33 minutes. Just 4-15 from the field, 0-4 from 3. Stick to 2s, Caris.
Markkanen 20-3-0 in 29 minutes. I'm proud he came back in after banging knees.
Mobley 6-3-1 in 13 minutes. Went out with a twisted ankle. Get well soon, RotY
Okoro 11-5-1 with 4 steals and a block in 36 minutes. Very good game.
Garland 25-3-12 with 3 steals in 40 minutes. Our leader carries us. 5-10 from 3 tonight.

Bench:
Love 19-7-3 in 32 minutes Well done, K Love
Goodwin 3-0-1 in 9 minutes
Stevens 6-1-0 with a steal in 24 minutes
Windler 5-9-2 with 2 steals in 16 minutes. Very productive!
Brown 4-3-0 with 2 blocks in 6 minutes. I'm willing to give him 10 minutes next game. He was 2-2 from the field.
