There was a play earlier where LeVert passed the ball to the top of the key to Stevens. That was pass 1.


Pass 2 was then to Kevin Love who hoisted a very quick 3, which was a bad shot.

But also, at that same time, Cedi was curling to exactly the spot on the floor Kevin Love was occupying.

This is the shit people talk about when they say there's no system at all out here. It's just freelancing 90% of the time.


And it's happening on defense now too. There's no principles, no idea of what they're trying to do.
 
I am sooooooo done watching these fools run around aimlessly on defense! No communication at all! Please God mercifully end this season! We need that lottery pick and if JBB doesn’t show me any improvement in these last few games he needs to go!

Yep. Nothing to do with no Allen and Mobley.

I'm sure he could just put in defensive stopper Windler or switch the scheme without Allen and Mobley and we'd shut down Atlanta who has scored this month alone:

130 against Chicago
115 against Milwaukee
120 against Memphis
121 against Golden State

ANY good coach could EASILY just adjust to missing their two best defensive players on a young team and maintain a great defense night in and night out

I understand we are lacking our best defensive players. I get that.

So what we should be seeing is guys being a step slow to recover. Guys unable to help and recover like Mobley can. Guys unable to protect the rim like Allen can.


Instead I'm seeing a team of dudes just sink into the paint to stop one drive. The Hawks don't have just 1 guy open, they have 2 and 3 at any one time.

This is poor effort and poor coaching.
 
Also Okoro hasn't kept Trae in front of him one time tonight. He doesn't even need a screen to get by him. Just straight line drive right past him.

Probably a little of all three(lacking two best defensive players, better effort could be given, better coaching could be given)

Team is decimated and became trash overnight tbh. Really unwatchable basketball on both ends.
 
Just a really unfortunate end to this season
