2022 Season | Series #1 | Guardians @ Royals | April 7-10, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
he was owned by 2% of the ESPN leagues when I added him yesterday.. Think he hit's 100% by the end of the day :p
I added him last thursday... Baz went on the IL.. he was in my queue watching..

Management has to be ecstatic that they didn't send Kwan down and give Zimmer one more look like they did with Jake Bauers last year. Oh, by the way, Kwan, Miller, and Clement are all .500 or over after the first series. By all means, play the kids.

Shaw's velocity is way down from last year. Until it picks up I would hesitate to use him in any high leverage situations. I'd go with Stephan, Gose, Sandlin, and Hentges over Shaw right now.

Great to see Logan Allen throw two scoreless innings.

What a great at-bat by Straw to work a two-out walk before the Kwan bases clearing triple. Straw took a front door slider that was pretty close on ball four to set the stage for Kwan.

I'm really impressed with Owen Miller. Just before the double to the warning track in left he got a 99 mph fastball well above the zone and chased it. Normally that would have been strike three, but his bat was quick enough to foul it off and stay alive. The next one was at the top of the zone and he drilled it over Benentendi. He has a very compact swing and a quick bat, like Kwan.

Oscar Mercado is only 3-for-16 but he has 8 RBI's. Crazy. That home run on a fastball down and in was impessive. He almost had a double to right-center but Merrifield caught up with it.

The young guys swinging the bats this well will take the pressure of Hosey and Franmil to try and carry the offense. They can just relax and swing the bat.

Chang and Bradley might never get back in if this keeps up.

Civale bobbed and weaved through three innings with a fraction of his normal stuff. He definitely looks 4-6 weeks behind like Bimbo said.

Clase has been getting hit hard but I'm sure he'll come around. Definitely glad to see the last of Benintendi for a while.

They're silencing a LOT of negativism with their reliance on talented kids.. but everyone who's watched baseball for any length of time know.. consistency isn't a strong suit of younger players.. caveat emptor..

Logan Allen & "Great.." more like miraculous.. to quote the great announcer Pat Summerall:
and I still don't..

I sooooo much wanted the Indians to trade for Benintendi when he was with the Red Sox and they were letting him go.. what a wonderful swing and glove that guy has.. perfect for Progressive Field..

I think on December 26th every year, we should celebrate the existence of Steven Kwan and what it means to his roots.

But what should we call this holiday? Chanukah? No thats not it. Christmas? No thats not it. Festivus? Close....but not it either... what could we call it...I am sure it will come to me.

Oh wait, i got it.

Kwanzaa, that seems like a good name for this celebration of Steven

Can we use Kwanzaa as his nick name? Lol

Probably a bit too much of a racist overtones. The holiday is celebrated seriously by some. I almost didnt make the joke for that reason. Not trying to offend and Kwanukahh didnt have the same ring.

The miracle of Kwanukah,. Steven returns home from war with the mighty Romans, he wins the holiest place in Cleveland back, The Progressive Temple to only find he only has enough bats for one hit. But by some miracle, that bat lasts for 8 hits in one series.

The day is celebrated by lighting the tip of 8 bats, handing the kids gelt (money in yiddish) to represent the great contract Kwan will sign one day, and the spin the helmet and if it lands on "miracle" you win.

SKwanzaa is actually his twitter... so Kwanzaa actually is something we can use with him lol

So Kwan is the key to the offense huh? If he can turn into an Ichiro that can get on base frequently like he has so far, Ramirez will have a good season and it might tempt management to go for another big bat.
