I hope we're making it a high priority to make sure we get Isaiah Mobley onto this roster. Nice size and at 240 lbs. he already has the weight we want Evan to eventually get to (as long as it's all lean muscle). Isaiah also has a pretty sweet outside shooting stroke and excellent basketball fundamentals. Family values, morale, lots of reasons to lock this guy up however it needs to happen. He's probably already a better player than either Thanos or Kostas.

I want him because we need a backup center!

Yes, Luka absolutely has improved. Just because a guy has an advanced game when he comes into the NBA, doesn’t mean he can’t improve

This would be an interesting thread on its own. People see these super polished guys get to the NBA and expect them to improve as much as the raw dudes. But can that really happen? I mean it is just impossible for Luka to improve as much as Giannis did. It can't happen or he would be a superman among NBA boys.

Lebron had enough flaws in his game that he actually had a lot of headroom compared to a guy like Luka or Kyrie. The other thing about guys that are that polished is they usually don't have the self-awareness to work on their flaws. They are so good already, they don't pay much attention to weaknesses.

Not trying to say you are wrong, but I would love to see a deep dive into some of the most NBA ready guys who were super polished and how much they were able to grow their games compared to raw prospects. I personally believe NBA ready rookies tend to have significantly less headroom than raw prospects.

Luka vs Giannis is a terrible comparison because one guy was the MVP of the Euroleague at a young age, while the other guy was a raw string-bean playing in a lower level league before coming to the US. Of course, Giannis had alot more growth potential, physically and in terms of his game. It’s also why Luka was a top 5 pick while Giannis went just outside the lottery. Luka was drafted based on the player he was while Giannis was drafted based on his frame, athleticism, & potential

Missing those games down the stretch were a killer cause he had that thing in the bag…

How did Jalen Green get a 2nd place vote ?

Had nothing to do with the missed games. It was between Mobley and Barnes and was always ultimately going to come down to whichever's team made the playoffs. Raptors did, Cavs didn't.

Honestly this is part of it but not the main reason . It’s due to Toronto media getting more votes than Cleveland media and the Ringers website pushing Barnes on their gambling shows and 90% of their writers backing him.

Mobley got robbed. Biased and unfair voting system and one website that is huge into NBA gambling somehow splits 90/10 towards Barnes with a nice chunk of votes when everywhere else besides those two websites was close to 55/45-60/40 rightly in favor of Mobley

Honestly this is nonsense. It’s not due to that. It’s due to Toronto media getting more votes than Cleveland media and the Ringers website pushing Barnes on their gambling shows and 90% of their writers backing him.
