2022 Season | Series #5 | Guardians @ Yankees | April 22-24, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thanks for the tip. I didn’t realize you can search the entire internet at the push of a button. If you think the Yankees’ upper management non-response is acceptable, so be it. But don’t lecture me about a manager’s weak comments about the incident are sufficient response.
Or they need to take their time to respond. You want instant gratification. Because it is our team.

Did you say anything literally the day before with the Bellinger situation?

Most of us didn't know anything about it since we don't follow the Dodgers...

And trust me, we all agree that guy needs to be banned and has to deal with legal ramifications...

Tough loss. It always seems tougher when you lose it at the end, but these things happen. Even the great closers blow one once in a while. Remember what Manny did to Eck?

One of the things we don't have to worry about is Clase.

**********

Not totally surprised that Naylor has hit lefties well so far. One of the things that made Naylor a target for the Indians was that he had reverse splits in both AA and AAA.

He's also looked pretty good at first base. Since that was his position before SD tried to convert him to RF, so that they could get his bat in the lineup, its not completely surprising, but after a broken ankle, its encouraging.

I REALLY wish that Miller would get a look in the outfield. Since arriving last season, he has been our fourth fastest player, behind Amed, Straw, and Gimenez.

*********

The news on Eloy Jimenez has shaken up projections. Fangraphs has dropped Chicago to 83 wins.

This team is more than capable of winning more than 83 games. First step is to survive this road trip.

*******

Curious about the other players on Covid restrictions.

Quantrill returned almost immediately. No word yet on the others, esp Chang, who has been out the longest.

When Miller returns I'd like to see Miller at 2nd, Naylor at 1st, and Mercado in right against LHP's with Gimenez at 2nd, Miller at 1st, and Naylor in right against RHP's. Time to move on from Chang and Bradley.

I'd really like to see more of a set lineup...at least to give it a look. And I'd like the strongest defensive lineup.

Just like Naylor, we won't know which players are every day players unless we try them.

Naylor at first, Miller in right, and Gimenez at second.

Of course, thats unlikely to happen.

I like a regular lineup as well but Gimenez hit .194 against lefties last year so I'd rather have Mercado's bat in the lineup against lefties. Oscar hit .294/.817 against lefties last year and I like his defense in right field more than Naylor.

I assume they want to ease the issues from yesterday and this was easier than take Straw out as well ... plus it was RF with all this serious issue.

And, Pilk down for Miller. I assume Chang and Castro will be back soon but why rush these 2. I also assum McCarty May go at some point today just for experience if situation allows.

What's with the 1:35/1:40 Sunday start times this year around the league?

If there was ever a day for the offense to erupt this is it......Fuck the Yankees and their fucking fans.

What's like a reliever. Thirteen great outings, but finally blows one, and the fans are on him...lol.

Cole is humping it up there today...97-98-99.
