Seems like there's a consensus forming for the top 9-ish picks... Some order of--
Smith
Holmgren
Banchero
Ivey
Murray
Sharpe
Griffin
Duran
Mathurin
You could throw Daniels and maybe Davis in there as lottery locks..
I'm all on board with Eason given his length, athleticism, defensive difference making and some of the offensive potential he showed..
Branham and Agbaji still give me pause with their size + length being added to a roster of Garland, LeVert/Sexton and Okoro.. Add Cedi in there if you want to as well... Their shooting is welcome but don't think they have the size or defensive ability to fit on this current roster...
I'd say Johnny Davis fits in that same category except he doesn't have elite shooting or elite playmaking to cover for his other deficiencies and fit on this roster -- unless they really believe in Okoro long-term at the 2 and don't see Sexton or LeVert on the roster next year..
I like TyTy as a backup to Eason but do wonder if the Cavs may prefer to go with a vet over a rookie backup PG..
Dieng seems to be the wild card but I'll throw the reminder back out there 4 out of Koby's 5 first round picks all went through the Team USA system... If you want to look at it further, 4 out of 5 1st rounders were one-and-done and were top 30 RSIC in their HS class.. Windler is the outlier in both categories..
Guys who fit that description at 14? Kendall Brown, Kennedy Chandler and PBJ
Guys who fit that description at 39? Harrison Ingram, Peyton Watson and Max Christie
If he falls or in a trade-up, AJ Griffin checks both criteria boxes and would be the one guy to watch -- he'd fit this team like a glove...
Brown's lack of offensive game and PBJ's complete flop his freshman year lead me to believe they may not be in play but Kennedy Chandler is the guy I think we should be considering more, perhaps even over TyTy Washington..
