A good percentage of this forum was clamoring that Arias should be playing this year in Cleveland ahead of Gimenez.
A majority insisted that Arias was better defensively and had more power. They held his 2021 season in Columbus as proof, even though Gimenez was BETTER in his Columbus stint.
Over parts of three MLB seasons, without benefit of a year of seasoning in AAA, Gimenez has about 490 PAs and has put up 3.7 fWAR and 4 rWAR.
Over that span he has made only nine errors and has 12 DRS. And as he has played he has gotten better....no errors this season with 7 DRS so far this year. But you dont need to look at numbers to see that he is a wizard with the glove.
Those that don't know by now never will...until the time comes when they insist they always knew it.
