My point is you said no one made Baker public enemy #1, which simply is not true. There are plenty of people I know, not just on this forum, but in my actual friends circle who hate Baker and it feels like that hate is on a personal level.
For Houston providing Deshaun with NDA’s, and him getting them signed, we sure do have a hell of a lot on disclosin’ going on.
Sure, of course they aren’t enforceable, especially if a crime was committed. If he got those signed only after the massage, and as a condition of paying the money he was already obligated to pay, then they are all likely unenforceable anyway.

I just find it baffling to me that the Texans knew about this and provided him with an NDA that wouldn’t do a bit of good as their solution. It’s almost like they were setting him up for a later date, removing the chair from underneath him.
Completely agree. Whatever his shortcomings, you cannot say he didnt give 100% He wasnt great, but he was not horrible either. Obviously he was hurt. We had a solid back-up in Kenum, Baker should have been shut down for a month and allowed to healHe and his family were receiving death threats on social media. Anyone who would dare come to Baker's defense got bullied, nicknamed "Baker Bros" and told to go find another team to cheer for. On this very forum he was called a cancer numerous times. There was little "discussion" because it was a giant circle jerk of Baker memes.
I know Baker wasn't a good QB and was immature, but that does not excuse our fanbase for treating him like complete shit over the last 8 months. Honestly, it was embarrassing.
Because there are a number of people posting in this thread solely because of BakerNot really sure why people are still talking about Baker Mayfield in the Deshaun Watson thread, especially when what’s done is done.
People were comparing the current Watson drama to the drama we saw with Baker over the last few months. Not really sure why people are still talking about Baker Mayfield in the Deshaun Watson thread, especially when what’s done is done.
i agree if it was 1-2 cases, but we are talking somewhere in 20's up to the 60's. How is the NFL going to look to their female fan base ? I think that is a factor. Apparently the browns can give a shitI think the hit is on Watson. I’d be shocked if he plays this season even though I think it’s 100% wrong to suspend a man on civil suits. He should be allowed to make a living and work.
Your employer should not be able to keep you from doing your job if you’re not under some sort of criminal investigation or actually in jail.
The woman publicly threatened Watson on his instagram to "end him" (or something like that). Its that action that apparently sent Watson to the team, and then a couple of days later the team supplied Watson with the NDA.But what exactly was the "this"? Suppose Watson came to the team on his own initiative, said he happened to get a boner during a massage, and now the women is threatening to go public or something. If that's the first time the team heard anything, and the woman herself never said anything to the team, they wouldn't think they were enabling any improper behavior because that's not what he told them.
I mean, I agree that it would indeed be baffling if the team knowingly enabled predatory behavior. It doesn't protect either his interest or theirs. So, that makes me wonder what they actually knew at the time.
Forreal. Imagine actually giving a shit about the privacy of an athlete's social media, and going so far as to calling him a “clown” for choosing his basic human right to be private.
Peak 2022 stupidity.
Dude hasnt gotten a proper massage in months, he's gonna act a little cranky.Total clown. He should keep it public so he could pick fights with Colin Cowherd, Mary Kay Cabot, and Antonio Brown instead.
You're missing the point.Thinking it's at all about privacy when he posted rap lyrics on IG 19 hours ago is...well, I won't return the name-calling.
