Hedges does what he does best, he gets HBP on the right hand. Hopefully no injury but that's a bad spot to get hit with on a 100 mph fastball. Looked like the meaty part of the hand to me.
 
Figures. Straw is just overmatched in the box. It's terrible that he leads off.
 
Aaaaaand, Straw leaves them stranded swinging weakly at a breaking ball off the plate.
 
Bieber has been outstanding. Let him lose his own game. He's at 90 pitches.

You can say that again.

He's a winning baseball player, in the field and on the paths, just not in the box.

He's not a threat with RISP, he's not a threat to walk, hit, power, he just shouldn't be leading off. For the Astros willing to just off him for a Phil Maton says enough about what they thought.

And I'm not saying he's bad. I would love him to bat 9th and give our 1-2-3 a chance at seeing better pitches to hit (if he gets on of course).

Hedges can't throw anybody out, and a bad throw to 1st allows LA to take the lead.
 
The throw by Hedges is not in time. Hear that alot.

Pitchers gotta put them in check too, but they also run because they know they can.
 
Would be nice to see this team play a clean game once.
