So for the NFL capologists, if the Browns don't spend another penny, they can roll over $48,460,351 in cap space to next season?
Correct 48.9 to be exact. Or about 57M if we use his 4 voidable years.

So Brissett will outperform Baker, but only if we let the pass rushers get to him? I like our chances.

Baker was turrible under pressure, and seemed to be worse under pressure in year 4 than he was at year 1.

There was definite growth... even if it didn't lead to on-field improvement.

Remember, early on in Baker's career, he did that thing where he'd spin and bail out behind the tackle anytime he thought there was pressure. It was obvious that he was working on staying in the pocket. However, he still did that thing where, if there was any breakdown in the pocket, he kind of froze, put his head down, and waited for the sack to come. It was frustrating to watch and you knew the result of the play every single time.

A short QB who can't figure out how to navigate an NFL pocket is a bad combination. Carolina's interior offensive line is signficantly worse than ours, and the DT's in that division are no slouch either.

The takeaway from that Patriots thrashing should have been each individual finding a way to grow.

Instead, everyone piled on the coaches. Meanwhile, of course Belichick created a great plan and exposed weaknesses. It's what he does. The impetus still falls on Myles to stop ignoring run plays to his side and for Baker to find passing windows under pressure.

That was a huge week. The real loser was inflated egos.

I really do hope someone in Baker's life gets him to control himself.

Things are really starting to shape up badly for him.

If he is not careful he'll be out of the League in the next five years and very bitter.

Right now it seems like he is the sort of guy who will spend decades blaming everyone for his spectacular downfall.

And they can start by taping his mouth shut and throwing away all his electronic devices.

If he starts pulling his drama in Carolina I really do think it might curtains for him because no one wants to put up with that shit and he won't have the goodwill he had in Cleveland built up.

Just amazing how far he's fallen in the last 12-16 months and mostly due to attitude. Subtract his play last year while injured and he's actually been a pretty decent QB, yet was only worth a 5th round pick. Crazy

If the Browns had traded him right at the end of the season, then Baker might not have been as "depressed". But once Watson came on board, everyone knew the Browns had to trade him.

Panthers owner David Tepper ... was determined not to overpay for a player he viewed as a depressed asset.

Just made my annual call to Directv for NFL Sunday Ticket Max. This year was the easiest ever. From start to finish, the call was 6 minutes long.

Now I can watch the Browns easily from Michigan.

Not surprised, since they're about to lose it.

Would you mind sharing the basic price you ended up getting it for? I already have it, and I'm just curious to see if I'm getting bent over enough to try to cancel and renegotiate.
