2022 First Entry Draft.. A hitters paradise !!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You got to admit dude that’s the guy I’ve been hyping since my first post in this thread. Go ahead and look. Would love DeLauter. Any others though?

Hard to know since we don't know who will fall to 16... maybe Peyton Graham? @Tondo ?
Honestly from quick reference, via MLB.com Guardians aren't going to select anyone with a contact of 45, early in the draft, and going by recent rankings, it's literally DeLauter that fits the bill the best for what you want...

I really don't follow the draft enough to know anything but if I were to bet, I think a couple "higher than normal" college bat pics will be made. Assuming someone that fits the bill is available and it's not a major reach.

This years bats are pretty solid, I wouldn't be against betting on a 100% chance pick 16 is a bat... Dicky just wants a bit more power than we have been going with lately, and I don't blame him. Why I would lean more towards DeLauter personally...

16. Cleveland Guardians
Cooper Hjerpe, LHP, Oregon State
Hjerpe figures to be off the board somewhere around this range and Cleveland is said to love the makeup and performance track record. Williams is a potential guy here, as is Orange Lutheran shortstop Mikey Romero, though we think both of those guys may be bigger targets as second-pick options.

37 Cleveland Guardians Mikey Romero SS Orange Lutheran

54 Cleveland Guardians Blade Tidwell RHP Tennessee

This past spring, University of Tennessee right-hander Ben Joyce did two things his veteran pitching coach had never seen before. The first was that 105-mph fastball, which took the internet by storm, and the barrage of 103- and 104-mph fastballs that followed for a whole magical season.
The second was something Frank Anderson, who has spent nearly four decades coaching, didn’t think was physically possible: Twice, Joyce generated so much torque with his lower body while delivering a fastball that he broke his belt — snapped it, just like that.
“That was pretty crazy. It just tells you the force and power he has when he rotates. I had never seen that ever, and he’s doing it all the time,” said Anderson, who coached fireballer-turned-instant-major-leaguer Garrett Crochet a few years ago and has seen firsthand some of the best velocity recent college baseball has offered.

WANT

No you don't, he's awful and this team doesn't need him. Anthony Gose fills the same role just fine. Let some other losers like the Rays take him.

All kidding aside, seeing as the Gs always add 3-5 mph to their draft picks fastballs, can you just imagine this guy throwing 108-110 mph after Carl gets ahold of him????

If you could seriously find a guy who could hit 108 even as a reliever, he is going first overall... lol

@Tondo You got you last mock to post? Lol

MLB.com had us getting Lesko... with DeLauter and Susac available by both guys and those two plus Jett available on the other one. I like Lesko, but these hitters I don't wanna skip on...

that's the MLB Pipeline last mock.. Callis and Mayo...

My dream mock for the top 3 rounds looks something like this

16 College bat: J. Jung or Berry dream scenario, but I'd settle for Delauter

Also like here: B. Barriera, C. Young, J. Williams, Hjerpe, D. Lesko
Don't want: G. Cross, D. Susac
On the fence: D. Beavers, J. Crawford, T. Toman

37 BPA HS, preferably a pitcher like Murphy, Snelling or Ferris, but...
Also like here: R. Romero, G. Hughes, J. Campbell, T. Harrington, S. Thompson, E. Brown
Don't want: C. Wallace, B. Jones
On the fence: N. Schultz, S. Jones, C. Horton, P. Graham, Prielipp, Pallette, Sims

54 BPA college pitcher: Thorpe, Bennett, H. Barco....

92 BPA (over slot) HS bat: fav is C B. Neal, but also INF G. Kilen, C A. Guzman, INF E. Snow

All Age Model Mock:

16 OF Delauter 20.8
37 RHP G. Hughes 20.9
54 RHP D. Thorpe 20.8
92 C B. Neal 17.8
121 LHP B. Hubbart 21.0
151 RHP H. Williams 20.8

DeLauter and Hughes would be LIGHTS out. I don't really even know the rest of the guys. What about GSon's guy Mule? He throws GAS.

Any GAS throwers in Round 2-5?
