NFL Off-Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How does an owner get suspended? By that i mean, what are the actual punishments? Can he not walk onto the facility? Not sign the checks? Not sit in their box at games?

He cant be on NFL property including his own or have any contact with the team. Its about time an owner actually gets suspended.

As for signing the checks, its done by auto pen anyways, i know a joke, but this is good to see, actual huge penalties for trying to cheat

But what does this *actually* do? Owners are just landlords, basically. Other than Jerry Jones, is there an owner thats more than a figurehead? Day to day operations arent controlled by owners. Most teams have football ops and business ops folks in place. If Haslam cant be on team property, what actually changes?

They really, really hate it?

And yes, Jerry is the only owner who's not Useless because he's Less than useless!

Its that they spend billions for these toys and cant play with them for X amount of games. Its crazy owners are suspended more often becuase you are right, it doesnt effect the teams, but it does punish the guilty owners.

I REALLY wish the players would have the backbone to stand up to this shit.

The real problem is the vast majority of players just don't have the financial security to be able to weather the inevitable long-term lockout/strike that would need to occur, and the owners know it. There would eventually need to be a change in spending habits for players over an extended period of time for something to actually happen. Otherwise, the NFLPA always winds up giving concessions.
