Hahahahaha.

Goodell laying down the law. NFL will win in court btw
If he's "laying down the law" he's laying it down ex post facto.

If I had to guess as to Goodell's motive here it's mainly that the NFL and most of the owners are pissed at the Browns for the massive contract and how it was structured. It's jacked up QB cost for everyone else.

If I'm Sue I'd wait a couple of weeks and quit. Complete waste of her time & expertise.

NFLPA presser and statement will be interesting.

Youd have to imagine if Deshaun sues his lawyers will push for the NFLs investigation into Dan Snyder be a part of discovery… an investigation that resulted in zero punishment for Dan Snyder.

Lets not forget there were allegations the Redskins took passports from cheerleaders while they were overseas with a promise the passports would be returned if they showed Redskins clients a good time.

If the NFL hates Watson that much just kick him out of football forever and be done with it. He's already lost a year from his career.
He lost a year from his career due to his choice/refusal to play for the Texans. That isn't a punishment from the NFL, that is a choice he made himself.

There is nothing in the CBA requiring “prior notice” for the NFL to levy a specific suspension length. This is kind of a ridiculous assertion..like they have to come up with a list of absolutely creepy and disgusting things that a player may do and dole out prior notice of potential suspension length for each act.

League memo: All players please be advised that wearing a buttplug to your massage and taking your towel off will now result in a 10 game suspension. Please leave all butt plugs at home or keep them in your locker.

As Robinson explained in her decision, the NFL is defining "sexual assault" as "unwanted sexual contact" which is incredibly broad, not criminal, and sweeps in lots of behaviors that probably many people have engaged in (including women). Saying that there has to be some kind of precedent for saying that non-violent but unwanted sexual contact is all of a sudden going to be punished much more harshly than straight up violent assaults is totally reasonable.
