Lots of "I'd rather stick my penis through the hole" energy with this one. We're fucked.

I think with all of this, just need to get the suspension figured out and let’s move forward. He definitely did some messed up things and deserves all the media attention and punishment he gets. But once it is over, our society is set up that you do your punishment and you move on.

The media is only outraged over this because that is where the clicks are. The media won’t give a damn about Watson once this is settled and out of the spot light.

Last thought I had. Any chance the NFL appealed this, then gave it to a legal expert to have them confirm it, so they can say we appealed and 6 games is it. Then see the NFL go on a marketing campaign to change the rules and say going forward we are going to set min length of suspensions for situations like this?

Guys... fuck it! Step down from the ledge. It's going to be ok.

We've got a competent GM and HC...
That GM traded for a QB who has only brought a circus with him, who stands to be suspended, and then handed him a contract that dt it's circumventing of the financial penalty of a suspension has only increased the backlash from the NFL. All for a guy who hasn't played a down in over a year and has shown zero remorse or accountability for his actions. If this team doesn't win a Super Bowl with Watson, then he basically traded for the guy who will get him fired.

You cannot show remorse easily when in CIVIL cases that would be used against you; I would bet his attorneys advised against that. Judge him once cases are over and behind him and what he does in the community going forward. Judge him that some weirdo situation like this doesn't happen again.

Wouldn't any QB you trade for ultimately be the guy that gets you fired if you don't succeed?

Isn't that a standard way of paying players who have huge contracts? I see Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes and Stafford all have similarly setup contracts.

We had to go through the decision to eventually get our first championship as Cavs fans

Now, we have to weather this storm to get our first as Browns fans.

Not only one championship, but a 3-4 year window of true championship contention with the most talented quarterback we've ever had in the Brown and Orange as the cherry on top for one of the most talented collections of players we've assembled, just like with "The Return".

This will make this team stronger. This will payoff for our city and the loyal fans seeing this through. Nothing comes easy to fans on the shore of Lake Erie, everything is earned. Us against the world.

I trust Berry. I trust Stefanski. I trust Myles and Bitonio to hold down the player leadership in the lockerroom and on the field until this dude steps on the field and takes us over the top

I think the window is much larger than 3-4 years if Watson returns to form.

I think the next 3-4 years will be our BEST overall roster and shot, but like the Packers with Aaron Rodgers we should literally contend every single year for the next 10+, otherwise the front office has completely failed us.

Extremely common, they just don’t tell the plebes on espn so they can foster outrage.

He doesn't need to win a Super Bowl imo. The AFC for next decade will have Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, and Jackson. If they do, it's going to be well-earned though.

I personally think a prime Watson is the second best QB in the AFC after Mahomes.

Edit: Herbert may end up being better than them all in the long-run. Dude is a stud.

That video had 782 views on it. How the fuck did you find it?

That’s gotta be @RchfldCavRaised in that car somewhere.

Question that I’m unclear on the answer to - what day will the appeal process be complete and will we get the final suspension (barring a lawsuit) from the new judge?

That's how several other notable contracts that the Browns have handed out recently have been set up, as well. Someone can correct me, but I'm pretty sure Denzel Ward just signed something very similar.

On reflection you are right.

1994 was a good season. Best defense in the NFL with Eric Turner, Pepper Johnson and old man Carl Banks. Beat the Patriots in the first round. Metcalf and LeRoy Hoard.

2002 was a good season. Kardiac Kids 2.0. Five games won in the 4th Quarter within a touchdown. We thought the Couch Browns had turned the corner. And then the playoff game happened.

2020 was a good season as we all know.

I was alive for the Bernie Browns AFC Title games but way too young to remember anything.
I was born in 79. My Dad had season tickets for over 40 years. I grew up going to the games. I remember my dad holding me up to pee in the horse troughs, wearing a binocular case with 4 cans of Busch beer into the stadium for my Dad and some wild adventures home.
I also remember in my basement drawing a picture of John Elway and taping that against my dart board in the 80's too... I remember the drive and fumble.

I have said this before, I have tons of good memories, we had season tickets visitors 50 yard line 4 rows back at the new stadium and really good seats at the Municipal Stadium.

I think in my adult years so return of the Browns happened when I was a freshmen in college - but being at the Atlanta Falcons game late December 2002 and when William Green broke that run for a TD, that game was super fun. The tail gating years with the bus / buses ( my buddies) - were epic and I hate that word...

Browns games always fun - being a fan has also always had its ups and major downs...

This will pass but it absolutely sucks. And I saw someone else post it, but I would much rather deal with this and have ( a scumbag mind you) a top QB in the league for years than have Baker Mayfield signed to a huge extension and all the Baker Bros for the next 10 years...
