Let's keep the focus off each other. It's a bad situation, we all knew it would be ugly. No reason for fans to pile on each other or to troll each other.

The community is only as strong as our commitment to respect for each other.

I didn't ask for the Browns to trade for Watson, but I don't plan on quitting as a fan either. Been through too many hopeless seasons to give up now.

Mayfield played like crap to his standards, but when folks around here make comments like “an average QB would take the Browns to playoffs” they look foolish.

Folks talk crap about Mayfield but refuse to say what “average” QBs are better.

Kirk Cousins is, in my opinion, the new Dalton Line. Other average QBs include current Matt Ryan, Ryan Tannehill, Derek Carr, and Jalen Hurts.

This team is not a playoff team without Watson...

Brissett went like 0-8 last year with the Dolphins and then I think they literally went 8-1 to close out the year when he was slapped back on the bench.

If Deshaun is suspended for the season and Jimmy G is granted a release after no trade scenarios, do we call him up?

I wonder if the Browns organization thinks it would be a slap in the face to Brissett - who by all accounts is a consummate professional and beloved by his teammates - and even potentially hurt the locker room if they more or less yanked the rug out of from him after basically having him go through OTAs, minicamp and most of training camp as the defacto starter.

I get that it's a business and you want the most talented people in the most important spots, but there's a human element to this that I think a lot of us, especially me at times, tend to ignore.

Combine that with Jimmy coming off shoulder surgery and no one totally knowing where he's at physically, I think the Browns would ultimately pass on bringing him in.

Didn’t the Dolphins have a historically bad offensive line last year?

They went 2-3 in games Brissett started for what it's worth.

I think the window is much larger than 3-4 years if Watson returns to form.

I think the next 3-4 years will be our BEST overall roster and shot, but like the Packers with Aaron Rodgers we should literally contend every single year for the next 10+, otherwise the front office has completely failed us.
I think Watson tears his ACL, LCL and meniscus well before season 3 and is never the same. He ends up reviving MCL Cafeteria instead

It's worth a lot considering that's 5 games and as it stands we only need him to start 6 games against inferior opponents and playing for a better team.

GO JACOBY GO!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of y'all really underestimated the level a suck we got from Baker last season in all facets. Both on and off the field he was very detrimental to the team. Jacoby Brissette is an upgrade to Baker in both areas. Deshaun Watson is an unfair advantage. You'll see.

Just remember that every time you hear a player say that the team chemistry, bonding, togetherness, morale, and locker room is much better this year that is an indictment on Baker Mayfield and the toxic environment he contributed to last season on a team that barely missed the playoffs.

Jacoby is a pros pro who's going to do what needs to be done to win games. Deshaun Watson is going to finally expose this fan base to that Superstar level of QB play that we spent dozens of years bitching about.

Chill.
Jacoby sucks

Crazy. More false info to fit an agenda.

Brissett is not good… and he’s not better than baker. He’s good for a backup but he’s not a good qb.

I don't think Brissett is very good at all and I don't think the Browns will make the playoffs with him starting the whole season, but for a variety of reasons I think he'll be the starter the entire time Watson is out.

First time I pissed at that trough, my face was right at dong level. I just remember looking up and seeing schlong after schlong lined up. Those things looked like they were five times the size of mine. No courtesy warning from dad to stare straight ahead.

For years after, it was a mad scramble for mini urinals whenever I could find them. I was successful for the most part too.

Then… the Cleveland Skating Club. Those old guys would read the Wall Street Journal and dry their old, wrinkly scrotums off in that locker room humidity, proud as can be. It was terrifying to think those guys with their gigantic bird nest bushes and old man junk might catch a glimpse of my pre-pubescent to adolescent schlongery. I was the only jackass in the entire joint with a towel wrapped around me. In and out of that place.
Listen I know old dudes have a penchant for hanging dong in locker rooms any chance they can get, but in what world are old guys taking a quick shvitz after a couple of laps around a skating rink? And to stay on topic, I don't hold out any hope of the Browns making the playoffs this year if Watson doesn't play the whole year, but if someone looks at our schedule and doesn't think Jacoby Brissett can win at least 5 of our first 10 games with this team behind him, I don't know what to tell you. He's not great but he isn't Blaine Gabbert bad

Well the other options are Josh dobbs who hasn’t taken a snap in 2 years and Rosen who is sailing passes over guys head 5 yards away this camp. So unless there’s an injury I think you’re safe in assuming he will start all year.
