Managers pressing buttons at the wheel does it for me. Importance of hit and run, substitutions, pitcher and catcher locked in, the anxiousness of awaiting the closer, the cheers of a strikeout, I don't know, 1-0 games offers some great entertainment in the late stages.

Sure, they love the shit out of watching their pitchers shut the opposing team down, but offense is the biggest fan draw. Especially when the runs are produced by power. As a weird aside--is there a difference between minor league and major league pitch speed trackers? I swear when he was in the minors I was reading that Karinchak was a 99-100mph guy, and in the majors he's been more like a 95-96 guy.

I'm just curious if there's different technology doing the measurement, or possibly just one of those things where Karinchak threw one pitch at 100mph, it gets reported as Karinchak throws 100, and sticks in my head, even though it's not realistic.

So what's Karinchak using now? I went back and watched the 8th inning from 8/6. Dude was going to some substance he had in his hair. Someone needs to tell him to stop wiping it on his pants afterwards. That brown spot under his right ass cheek isn't a good look.

(And yes I know that a lot of pitchers are back to using a foreign substance... just not spider tack)
