Offense counts just as much if not more. Especially for a team that needs contributors all the way through the lineup. If you don't want to count on power then you can't have a lineup with 2-3 holes in it. Straw isn't a fit for this team as a starter, but he is as good as it gets defensively. There is no argument against that.
 
Detroit needs to quit all these damn stadium sounds after every pitch, what in the minor league hell

Less games meant he could throw more sliders. That was his highest slider pitch % and lowest FB pitch % with regards to his pitch arsenal in his career. His slider is his best pitch, wish he would throw it more during a full length season, but understand why he can't/doesn't.

Why couldn’t he throw more sliders in a full year? Is it too hard on an arm?
