This is very likely my buddies fault for not understanding and believing in something that was too good to be true, but he fully thought he was getting playoff tickets included in the price of his season ticket package this season and was shocked to find out they were extra (significantly extra).

However, he swears up and down that his ticket rep told him they were included, and he still genuinely believes that was the agreement, as silly as that sounds.

Not to pile on, but its the only real experience I have to relate as well.
I was told the same FWIW. Wondering if it was the same rep.

Good news if the Guardians want Karinchak in the lineup should we play the Jays going forward. OTOH, my heartburn and elevated blood pressure every time James pitches almost makes me want Canada to retain its ban on unvaccinated visitors,

Is this ticket fiasco a new thing, as in this year, or has it always been a thing?
My family has held a season ticket package for 6 years, and we’ve never had any issues (I’ve been the name on the account for most of the years). Service has always been exemplary.

That’s anecdotal though. Sounds like numerous others have had recurring issues.

I guess I'll post this here. It brings back memories of Cleveland Stadium.
Bob Hope, of course, is a native Clevelander, older than the Stadium.

I've been a STH since 2017. Went from full, full, half, quarter, quarter, quarter to extremely close to not renewing for next year.

The perks of being a STH have slowly dwindled by the year, and not just because I've scaled back on my package.

When I first started, it was stated in The Season Ticket Agreement that if you sold 50% of your tickets, you'd be subject to having your season tickets cancelled due to "broker activity". Starting in maybe 2019, they removed that specific 50% and it's more or less up to their interpretation but I think that 50% level is the magic number even if they don't say it. As far as 33Y0's experience, I received a similar email in maybe 2018 that rubbed me the wrong way as I was approaching that 50% mark. With that said, it is part of the Season Ticket Agreement that you agreed to when you signed up for season tickets.

It is annoying to not be able to do whatever you want with the tickets that you paid for. However, without it in place coupled with their weak attendance, I think the secondary market would be overwhelmed with dirt cheap tickets that would take away from box office purchases. Plus, they for sure want to avoid being embarrassed like they were with Cubs fans in the 2016 World Series that their postseason ticket resale policy is extremely strict.

For that Final Series the Indians had special tickets, commemorative pennants, passed out collectable hats. Still have mine.
Now when the G's had their first games, it was commemorated with,,,,,,crickets.

Yep I did and I actually have recently had my last straw with the Guardians and their season ticket bull. So, I shared my experience with them recently versus how the Cavs handle things. SO fast forward to last week... for some of you who know, I live in the Youngstown area. I bought a quarter season season tickets package because there's no way I can make a half of full game slate. And I told my season ticket guy at the time, look, I know I probably won't even catch every game in my quarter season package because life happens and all. Not like I'm saying I'm only going to make two, but certainly can't make every one of them and he said okay, no problem. So fast forward to last week... I got this extremely rude and unpleasant email from the season tickets supervisor saying I'm at risk of losing my season tickets AND never being able to get them again after selling too many of my games... SO I sent a strongly worded email stating this was never a problem when I originally purchased the season tickets AND the tickets I chose to sell... it's not like I was selling them for double face value. Hell, I was lucky even on some of them to even get face value back. But furthermore, a few of the other games I attended, I sold my seats so I could upgrade to better seats... because their online system to do it quite frankly stinks and never shows any seats available. So I told them screw off, I will never renew or choose to buy season tickets from them ever again if that's how I'm going to be treated. I told them why would anyone from areas outside of Cleveland bother to buy season tickets if that's what their policy is going to be. A damn joke.
Totally ridiculous. G's are smart baseball people, but poor at customer service.
Join me at the Cavs games where ticket holders get treated like kings.

This won’t get many comments, for the obvious reason, but man I loved that shit hole. Tons and tons of memories with my dad. Nothing made me more excited as a kid than walking up the Stadium and seeing Wahoo on top. Also, those Uniforms were awesome.

This new organization is all about money. Making it and cutting it. No doubt they will have a new logo by the 2025 season to get more money in.

I do find it ironic that people are quick to say the Cavs know how to treat their STHs.

My last ticket rep was really, really good but she moved on for a new job. The new kid that has been my rep now for 1-2 years is like any other rep I've had for the Indians/Guardians- mostly clueless and not super helpful. The Cavs haven't really done anything in the last 2 years that resemble "rolling out the red carpet". But they haven't pissed me off, which the Indians/Guardians have, so I guess they have that going for them.

I liked this video. This baseball analyst admits he was wrong about the Guardians--and so was every other analyst.

I don’t think I’d know who they’re talking about if that arrow wasn’t in the thumbnail.
