New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
White Lotus season 2 is out; not sure what to expect.

Italy setting might be nice, but not sure I like having Stifler's Mom be the carryover character.

I've barely watched Euphoria, but I didn't realize that Syd Sweeney's brother character also starred with her there. Their dynamic was hilarious in season 1. "Quinn, are you fapping?"
Stifler's mom was the worst part of Season 1 for me by a longshot. Unfortunate she was the carryover.

I've never watched Euphoria. HS drama's aren't really my thing

And it looks like Stifler's mom will be the worst part of Season 2 as well.

Fortunately, like Season 1, the rest of the characters are fantastic. The Italian family in particular is hilarious.

Should be good.

I am looking for a new show, for some reason i havent watched White Lotus yet, but I do have HBO

Some of my favorite HBO shows are Curb, Gemstones, Six Feet Under, Mare of Eastown, Barry, Crashing, Hacks, Veep. and Entourage off the top of my head.

Is this something I will enjoy, sounds like I am missing out.

I recommend it. Maybe watch it with the family?

My daughter is in college and son is a freshman, maybe its a good show to binge with my son. His favorite show of all time is Barry, but we watched allot of those shows together. Just got done with Entourage. Entourage is a guilty pleasure for both of us, lol...But Barry might be the best show HBO has done, all the Curb is really good too.

Yeah, watch it with your son. I think it's a show for you to watch together.

This is the first article since The CW got bought by Nexstar that they seem to have someone with a sensible direction to take the network. Basically the Brad Schwartz was the head of the cable network, Pop tv, and will be creative director for the CW. He seems to have an understanding of how to make the CW profitable while still producing scripted tv. He also seems to have an understanding of how to monetize tv shows and how necessary streaming and international rights are.

Every article before this seem to make it out that Nexstar thought they could make unscripted shows and buy scripted tv shows from international to become a profitable network. It seems to underscore their lack of understanding of how much there is to make off of streaming and international rights. It seems crazy if they thought they could be profitable without it. He brings up how Hulu just bought the steaming rights to Schitt's Creek for 100 million which was probably eye opening to the Nexstar people.

Westworld cancelled. I'm surprised they didn't give them a 5th season to wrap it up or at least a movie.

Just got through my first rewatch of soa since it originally aired. Man do I have a different opinion of it now.

There are so many miscast actors. More bad than not. Jax, a guy who can't even speak with an American accent, id an incredibly interesting choice for a dude with a new York accent born and raised in California.

The outfits are so halloweeny. There are probably a few seasons that could just absolutely get cut out and nothing would be missing. 3 was abysmal. 4 5 and 6 should have been one season. It finally picked back up for season 7 when all the shit was happening to the characters that actually mattered. 7 was masterful. There was for sure some really good stuff but man it could have been condensed and streamlined into a very good 4 seasons

There are a lot of fucking plot holes. Idk what kind of strategy it is to make every single character unlikeable but Sutter sure went for it.

Every time two of the women would start fist fighting each other you gotta roll your eyes. "Women wouldn't actually do this." Tara destroying a room, breaking her own arm pounding a desk too hard. Shit is silly.

Gotta ask if you have watched Eastbound and Down or Vice-Principals on HBO... If not, both are worthy.

I gave it a shot when it first came out and after the novelty wore off... Pretty terrible IMO, A violent soap opera at best.

I heard somewhere that SOA is just The Sopranos for bikers. Seems about right.

I started both and couldnt get into either of them. I realize this is a me issue as both are loved as Danny McBride is a comic genius, but to me his comedy is a bit hit or miss. He is actually my least favorite charactor on gemstones. I know most love him, so i usually dont bring it up.

For the record, in real life i might be allot more Danny McBride than i care to admit, so maybe thats it?

Halfway through Ancient Apocalypse on Netflix and it’s interesting. I’m familiar with some of Grahams material but if you like ancient history this is a solid series.
