2022 NFL Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If I'm understanding these reactions to the missed game in terms of scheduling/home field and such, there was a rule in the books, but the league decided to change the rule on the fly because this happened so late in the season. Huh? How does that make sense? If this happened week 4, then things wouldn't be changed?

This kind of changing the rules on the fly thing wouldn't even happen in a fantasy league.
The Bengals have a gripe for sure. There were rules in place to handle canceled games. To alter them in the during the season creates problems. The Bengals may have to flip a coin for home field over the Ravens even though they get the first place schedule and worse draft position next year.

I have to assume that The winner of that coin flip gets all of the pros and cons that go along with winning the division. But I can't say I've done much research.

The Bengals are the division champs. The only thing the coin flip is for is the location of the game should the Ravens win and the two teams meet in the first round.

The Bengals would be the 3 seed regardless and there’s even a scenario in which they could lose and still host without a coin flip. The Chargers would also have to lose, pushing Baltimore to the 5 seed, meaning they would go to Jax and the Chargers to Cinci.

Ah so yes the Bengals could very well get screwed just like the Chiefs

The Bengals got put in the worst spot in my opinion, especially since they can’t benefit from a potential neutral site game vs Buffalo using the same logic the NFL used for KC/BUF.

The Chiefs have made out just fine ultimately. They were able to lock up the 1 seed and the only downfall is a potential neutral site AFCCG if the Bills win today and both meet in that game. Small price to pay in my opinion since the Bills were in control of their own destiny for the 1 seed and only lost it because of the game cancelation and not an actual loss.

Lovie Smith must know he's not being retained, so he wanted to go out giving mgmt a big FU.

Was in the midst of typing something similar. LOLOLOLOL.

And now Chicago gets to offer up the #1 overall pick to the highest bidder.

Brock Purdy.

The 49ers have the happiest of problems next season with a QB controversy.

Two of my better friends are big Niners fans. I couldn’t be happier for them. They are such a fun team to watch. They are a tough and gritty team. So unlike the soft and pathetic team I root for each week

The Lions trainer shoved the Packers player first. Granted, you can’t react to it. But, the trainer has no business doing that.
