I have a buddy who jokes she’s the first alien actress and it was an easy way to break aliens coming into the public.

Always makes me chuckle.
I've heard that theory. That's she's alien, lizard etc.

Her hair just shouldn't be light. They fuck with her makeup too much (dark ass lipstick)and she can be like 5 lbs heavier than she normally is

Saw the Menu.

Was hysterical. As someone who likes Chefs Table, too many audible laughs for a suspense movie.

I saw it too, was weird, 6 out of 10, at times i think it tried to outsmart itself.

Yeah, I loved it too. It really takes the piss out of Gordon Ramsay and that asshole chef culture and everything that has come with the rise of celebrity chefs.

ATJ was excellent as always, and the guy who played her "boyfriend" killed it too. He was just so good at playing an utter piece of shit. Looking forward to his Dracula movie with Cage.

I also am not sure I'd call it suspense. It's a comedy with some horror and suspense elements.

That part had me dying.

Finally saw Avatar 2 and thought it was great. I saw it in Dolby Digital 3D. The 3D was incredible.

It's hit global 1.9 billion box office now and should easily hit the $2 billion mark.

The boyfriend is played by Nicholas Hoult. He is really good in the Great which is on Hulu. He is also in one of my favorite shows of all times, Skins.

I agree with the rating (maybe a 7)

At times loved it but other times felt it was heavy handed, like Will Farrell or Seth Rigan trying to write true high concept satire from their physical comedy minds but unable to do it the way a sharp witted satirist could do it.

Maybe I wanted it to have true stakes instead of becoming very clear less then midway through that the concept would be adhered to until the very end for all but one character

I don’t know. I might need to watch it again as it’s overall tone and direction did catch me off guard from how I perceived the trailers (looked like a knives out competitor to me in the trailer) but I was simultaneously entertained, impressed, and underwhelmed.

For sure not worth my time to watch again

Black Adam: 5/10

You know what hurt it? The Rock. Just doesn't have the acting chops to pull it off. And thats saying something, because no comic book character requires a master thespian, just a good fit. But Dwayne both waited too long to make this movie- he looks every one of his 50 years to me- and I just never felt the 'antihero' of Black Adam. Should have done a full-on Bad Black Adam movie to set this one up. He biffed the character he held hostage; now hopefully Gunn can find a more worthy actor for it.

I was total opposite. The only redeeming quality was The Rock. It's sad, but DC movies feel so mismanaged. Especially when compared to Marvel.

We watched the Fablemans last night. Must watch movie. The movie a pretty accurate story of Steven Speilberg's childhood and his journey into becoming a movie director. I looked it up after watching it and almost everything in the plot actually happened.
