This offseason I was huge on making Myles Garrett's and Deshaun's lives easier. They're checking all the boxes for Myles. Deshaun needs another weapon. We aren't sure who's the pass catcher out of the backfield neither are we? Ford ready to step up?
Think they'll likely draft one and sign a minimum level veteran to compete for a backup role if D'Ernest doesn't end up coming back.. With all they have invested elsewhere and in Chubb, I highly doubt anything behind Chubb will amount to rookie scale and veteran minimum type salaries..

McKissic, Bernard, Burkhead, Ty Johnson are all out there -- I would expect someone of that ilk to be signed on a one-year veteran level deal along with a Day 3 RB... Felton could perhaps show out in camp but he's probably got an uphill battle to make the team..

Good tracker for where Browns likely stand..

I'd argue Phillips, Thomas, Bryant, Hudson, Deaton, Haeg, Harris, Woods and Grant are more so in between locks and the bubble then purely on the bubble..

There are four receivers I can be talked into on day two of the draft, assuming Quinton Johnson, Jaxon S-N, and Jordan Addison go first round.
I see you're still sleeping on Zay Flowers.

I expect JSN and Zay to be first round locks, with Quentin and Addison likely going in the first as well, with Hyatt then making a case.

After those five, I'd be okay with Downs at 42, and that's about it.

Flowers is my bubble first rounder because it's not just his stature going against him. He was credited with 24 drops in his college career. A front office will take a little heat for his size, but the drops are going to make him a risky pick for the first round.

Is he amazing with the ball in his hands? Heck yeah. Would I take him at #42? Definitely.

The defensive line talent will make the Browns seriously consider waiting on a receiver at #42, but I think you might be a bit hyperbolic about my opinion on Flowers.

I guess Zay is a guy I'm planting my flag on this year.

I think there's a better chance he's the first wr taken than he falls out of the first round.

If a bet were out there for Flowers to go in the top half of the first, I'd take it.

You make me call the specific shot and I'm saying he goes 14 to New England.

He just gets open against everyone, is electric with the ball, is super cerebral and has improved every year. My biggest concern isn't his hands or his height--it's his age.

People told me I was crazy for suggesting that Parris might be open to taking a one-year "prove it" type deal.

Hit the nail on the head with that one. He could be a nice signing for the Giants--helps Daniel Jones out with a more horizontal, YAC-based approach.
Lol, that's certainly one way to spin it :chuckle:

Think it's much more likely this was the best offer he could get in an offseason where the top receivers are getting much less than they were projected.

Worked out well for Juju going to play with the best QB in the NFL with no clear #1 WR. Wishing Parris the best but going to a run heavy team to be their #3 or #4 option might not work out so well.

Damn I hate to see him go. I wanted to see him with a real DC
