I agree that we’re seeing the best version of Mitchell. He may have better percentages at some point, but his game is defined. He’s likely a top 10 player too, which makes the trade a huge win.I think this is Mitchell's peak to be honest, which is not a bad thing.
I think Mobley will average between 20 and 25 a game as soon as next year.
I wonder how much of that is skillset versus actually gap though. I will freely admit KAT is miles ahead of basically every center that isn't Joker as an offensive player but he is only functional as an at the level PnR defender. Bam on the other hand is almost a poor man's Mobley in what he does. It would be somewhat reductive. I think the two things about Allen that fit well here are 1. How versatile he is on D (shared by Bam) and 2. How he is able to contribute on offense without touching the ball much or demanding shot attempts to keep the rest of his gI love JA
Put KAT or Bam on this roster in a 1 for 1 swap for Allen and I believe we would see that there is indeed a gap between those two and JA.
This list on the other hand I have some questions about. AD is def tier 1 or 1.5 with the MVP guys. But Ayton and Turner? I think you are overrating their impact. Especially Ayton the way he has played this year. If I had to make a full list right now its something like:Allen is tier 3.
Embiid,jokic, ad
Ayton, towns, bam, Turner,
Then you have Allen and the rest
forgot about sabonis. There’s no earth where Allen is on the same platform with your tier 2. Him and ayton should be switchedI wonder how much of that is skillset versus actually gap though. What is the argument for Ayton? He is worse on defense than JA and is more of a locker room issue. I will admit that his offensive game is more versatile, but that also means he needs more touches. He also has weirdly terrible hands for a guy with such a soft touch. No, I think JA was a better player last year and remains so this yearforgot about sabonis. I’d take claxton over Allen. In a hypothetical, but we need more shooting and Mobley atcenterWhat is the argument for Ayton? He is worse on defense than JA and is more of a locker room issue. Clax over Allen? Clax is a poor man's Allen. Why would you downgrade like that?I’d take claxton over Allen. In a hypothetical, but we need more shooting and Mobley atcenter
I’ve had people agree with me sir. You’re the one saying Mobley will reach the best center in the league and he can’t score on elite defense without defensive breakdowns and being spoonfed dunks. At this point, it may not make any sense to respond to any of letsgocavs rants about Jarrett Allen at this pont. It's pretty obvious he's trolling. At least let's hope it's trolling.
Sabonis is a dark horse MVP candidate, how you have Allen anywhere near his stratosphere is beyond me. And you are penalizing Ayton for how he has played this year but ignoring Allen's actual decline? Bam is averaging 20ppg and will be top 5 in DPOY, but Allen is supposed to be on the same level?? And KAT and Allen on the same level is just plain ludicrous. You don't even mention Brook Lopez, he's first or second in every DPOY vote and is a better offensive player than Allen.I wonder how much of that is skillset versus actually gap though. They are actually very similar players but I don't think it's fair to say Claxton is a poor man's Allen any longer. Allen may have a bit more of an offensive game but Claxton blocks twice as many shots. Neither one has much of an offensive game beyond dunks and put backs.Clax over Allen? Clax is a poor man's Allen. Why would you downgrade like that?
Agree we need more shooting and it would help Mobley at center lineups, but that should be a tactical rotation and not the primary one.
Allen is tier 3.

Offensive game. When was the last time Allen went off for 40 and 10?What about Turner makes him better than JA?
