It’s game 1. We did run a few possessions with Donovan and Garland PnR and would like to see more of that. Got to get Mobley involved on the elbow though.

It just hurts we couldn’t rebound nor hit our FTs. I thought NY was very physical and wanted to win more.

It was always going to be a tough series. Garland needs to step up big time. Knicks didn’t shoot well from the 3 but they outplayed us. Will see how we adjust.
 
Allen and Mobley blocked a combined zero shots and we got dominated on the boards. When you are sacrificing so much offensively to play them together, that just can't happen.

I can’t even begin to explain JBB’s reasoning behind that decision!
 
Anyway for the series:

The only thing that matters right now is winning game 2.

This Knicks team is no home juggernaut. They can be beat at MSG.

I’d love for the Cavs to play with some pace. I mean JBB really wants to play a possession based grind it out style against Tom Thibedeau and a bunch of monster offensive rebounders? Just a bad strategy from jump street.
 
That was a coaching loss. We already knew our bench was inferior [and they were], we already knew we would likely get dominated on the boards [we did], we knew they would leave Okoro open to brick 3s [he did], we knew guys like DG and Mobley would have yips [they did], but we had the lead with less than 3 minutes to go. Then for whatever reason, they stopped trapping Brunson and left Cedi on him one-on-one to match-up? Wtf? Game.

Cedi got two key stops on Brunson in the last minute or so and then the team couldn’t rebound on either of them…we did out score NY with Cedi in there (although not by much)
 
Cedi certainly not reason for loss.
Mobley was really soft.

No need to panic- we ain’t winning anything regardless. This has been rinse and repeat alllll year. Don’t get the positive people in here, we do not have what we need to compete in the playoffs. Period.
