Game Thread | Knicks playoff series Game #4 | Cavs @ Knicks | April 23, 2023 | 1:00 p.m. ABC

Yes it's been disappointing.

Yes JBB is in way over his head.

With that said the mission is still the same as it was before this game. They need to take care of business in the 2 home contests and scratch/claw to win the game at MSG. That's it.
Yup. And I don’t doubt they’ll take care of business in Cleveland Wednesday.

I want to know why he was riding Osman that long as he wasn't changing the game at all.
And while I'm not on the sideline why is he or any of the other assistants not telling these guys stop chucking up 3's if you're bricking them?
His rotations are questionable and decisions to ride certain players are stubborn.
I asked is Stevens in the doghouse, whats the point of not putting him in but keeping Osman in there?

He's not good, but we still should have won this game. Mitchell, and the Knicks being more physical are why we lost.

If Mitchell was just average, we win this game. If Allen plays with half intensity, we win this game. As bad as JB has been, he really is not why we're going to lose this series.

I still don't think he's good. I just can't sit here and say its on him. This team did win 50 games with JB. JB has been bad all season, they can still win in spite of him.

Everyone knew JB was going to be outcoached in this series. But there's no excuse to be out hustled like we have.

We are a better team than the Knicks, and about to lose the series just because we have no will at all. And the Knicks have played much, much harder and more physical than we have. I can't stand that's why we're going to lose.

We don't deserve to be here the way we're playing. It's a disgrace, honestly. To show the effort we've shown, I'm embarrassed. If the Knicks were just better, and out executed us, I can tip my hat, and say let's get them next year.

Is all good 3-1 comeback I feel it who’s with me?

They're not tough enough to do it. Nor do they have a coach to dig them out of that kind of hole. They're done in this series, let's just hope they can go down swinging better than they've shown.

But comeback to win, no. If they were a mentally tough team, I'd say yeah, but they're not. They are mentally very weak.

They respond lousy to adversity. I expect them to blow out the Knicks in game 5, then get killed in the Garden in game 6. How it plays out is too predictable.

this 3-1 doesn't feel as bad as 3-1 against the Warriors, the Knicks are a very beatable team and I fully expect the Cavs to shoot better back at the Q and bring it to 3-2

Garland had a bad first game in NY and now Donovan a bad game today, as long as those two just give regular performances in game 6 I can see the Cavs escaping with a victory

Game 7 at the Q, no shot for NY
It’s over.

It’s over.

We've not been through the trials to do something like that. LeBron James from 10 years ago isn't walking through that door, either.

We are young, and don't understand playoff basketball. If this was a seasoned veteran team, different story. Young teams with zero playoff experience, it don't look good.

Umm, you are talking about HOF players compared to Mitchell.
Exactly. To @Rich ‘s point it’s extremely difficult to win championships with a small guard as your best player. The exceptions are HoF players.

Then again it’s difficult to win a championship without a HoF player.

One game at a time, but I just can't fully commit with JBB at the helm. And it's not like he has surrounded himself with more competent assistants on his staff. There is no one he can turn to and say "let's give your stuff a shot".

If JBB isn’t good at Xs and Os, and he can’t motivate guys to go hard in a playoff game, then what exactly is he GOOD at?
