2023-24 Season | Game #7 | Warriors @ Cavs | Nov. 5, 2023 | 6:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Steph Curry is open every play. The scheme is a disaster.
Just a stat for ya..

The Warriors with Curry and Thompson last year only scored 104 points or less just twice.

As a whole, they were held to 104 points or less just six times.

Cavs just held them to 104 points tonight.

Gave the 5-1 Warriors the business for 4 quarters. Excellent win.

Allen’s got some bounce again. Donovan Mitchell was the best player on the court.
Best SG in the league. And he doesn't get 60% of his points through free throws like that prick Shai does.

Had my brother and toddler nephews over most of the game. Did DG specifically come up lame or re injure it tonight? Or are you just concerned in general about it?

He came up lame at the end of the 3rd when he drove the basket and got blocked.

Gsw showed it's age tonight. Cant stop dg and dm drives to the paint. Thompson and Paul look old. Cavs didn't panic and stayed disciplined on defense when curry was bombing 3s. And this is with the cava team missing a ton of open 3s.

He had a spill and I saw him in discomfort stretching it. But before that, he looked slower all night.

I just think he is nursing an injury still
Saw more of the first half and final six minutes but did like his attacking the lane and making some tough layups after his initial 3P shots weren’t dropping

Best SG in the league. And he doesn't get 60% of his points through free throws like that prick Shai does.
I think I’m partial to Booker, but I’ve got them neck and neck.

I think Booker takes better care of the ball, but it’s splitting hairs.

Buddy, you've been making this same post for a week.

Just because they're both white and shoot 3s doesn't mean the comparison can end there.

Strus is a better defensive player, a better passer, and tougher.

If he could shoot like Korver he'd have been out of our price range.
It is not that they are both white and can shoot the 3. It it they are both good at coming off screens and shooting the ball but Korver is much better.

Individual stats:

Starters:
Strus 15-4-4 with a steal in 36 minutes. Solid game at SF!
Mobley 13-16-2 with a block in only 29 minutes. If he ever gets a jumper and a hook, he'll average over 20 ppg.
Allen 12-9-3 in 28 minutes 5-7 fg--looks like old time Allen!
Mitchell 31-2-7 with 2 steals in 34 minutes. Ho-hum another 30+ point game and 11-19 fg 5-11 from 3.
Garland 24-3-7 in 30 minutes People can grouse that he went 6-17 fg, but he hit 12-13 FT. He was great at drawing fouls. His best game of the year.

For those who watch minutes, note all the starters were under 37 minutes tonight.

Bench:
Niang 6-6-1 in 25 minutes
LeVert 8-5-2 with 2 steals in 32 minutes He had some key plays in the 4th.
Thompson 3-5-0 in 11 productive minutes
Wade 3-5-0 with 2 steals in 12 minutes. Good defense!
Merrill 1 minute
Jones 1 minute

Yea he's been way better than I thought he'd be.

I predicted he would still have gas left in the tank. He’s actually performed well in his TT-type role every place he’s been, but the other teams didn’t really have room for that role. We DEFINITELY do. Wish we’d had him for the Knicks series last year

It is not that they are both white and can shoot the 3. It it they are both good at coming off screens and shooting the ball but Korver is much better.

But Korver is retired so I don't understand the constant referral to it as if the Cavs had a choice between Korver and Strus?

You might as well say "I wish Strus were Ray Allen" if that's what we're doing.

And guess what? Me Too!
