2023-24 Season | Game #71 | Cavs @ Heat | March 24, 2024 | 6:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Okoro has only one rebound.
Losing Strus hurts the offense alot. It is what it is. Okoro deserves a lessened role is quite obvious.

But I've read on here how Strus isn't important to meaningful lineups. Idk.

Anyone that has played the game at any type of competitive level recognized that 4th foul Garland just had for what it was. It was not a hustle foul.

He knew what was likely to happen when he did that.

I actually don't mind JBB having him in there. He was trying to show him some faith and belief by doing that, hoping to spark him a little. Game is mostly lost anyway.
No, Rich, it’s obviously JB’s fault that Garland was even in the game to commit a bonehead foul. Garland is just way too hardworking of a defender to expect him to avoid dumb fouls down 20.

Three seasons into Mobley's career and the team still has no idea what to do against a zone defense. If the Cavs get to the playoffs, the opposing team is going to zone the entire series and it will be a sweep this time. The one win against the Knicks was due to DG going nuclear from 3.

Maybe a handful. I can see him getting benched in playoff games on any team if he plays exactly like this.
Sure, but he also should be coming off the bench.

Okoro just isn’t a quality starter on a good team. It’s no surprise that he’s looked significantly worse when being thrust into a larger role, both in terms of minutes and offensive expectations.

As a 7th man? He’s a wonderful fit on this team, in my opinion.

Just odd that JB being the son of a NBA coach and around the game that long has zero clue on adjustments…

A freefall might not be the worst thing. Koby has fallen for the fool's gold regular season a couple of years in a row. It's clear that JB needs to be canned and I think the poor roster balance is starting to really come to light even for those who have been knowingly or unknowingly burying their heads in the sand.

There are going to be some difficult decisions that need to be made soon. A promising young core can stagnate very quickly in this league if you overvalue what you have and don't make moves while you still have flexibility.

What’s the record since the all star break? Below .500?

It’s a shame because I thought it looked like Allen really came to play today. Mobley found foul trouble, but was otherwise fine in his return, even knocking down a 3.

Georges hit some shots off the bench. Not much else to be happy about in that half though.

The defensive scheme is just laughably archaic and ineffective. Cavs collapse inside for no reason to let anybody and everybody stand around and shoot 3s to start the game. Happens every single game.

There is no reason to have two good defensive bigs if you’re going to send every single player to help inside anyway.
