The only guys playing crazy minutes are Hart and McBride. He is been pretty smart with Brunson's minutes since he got hurt in that Cleveland game the first of the month. DiVencenzo's kind of fluctuate. Getting OG, Robinson and maybe Randle back solves the crazy minutes problem.

Randle hasn't even been cleared for contact. Today is March 25th and Randle hasn't been cleared for contact from his separated shoulder from exactly two months ago.

OG is having elbow flare ups so bad that he can't play through the pain. They said there's no new damgage on his MRI and that they optimistic that he will be on the court soon, but what if he has another flare up?

There's a small chance(a bigger one for Randle imo) that both of these guys aren't even available come playoff time.

So it may not be a solution.

Which is why I said "maybe" Randle. I'm not counting on Randle and quite honestly of the 3 he is the last one I am worried about playing.

This is such a crazy fucking story. Why on earth do they allow prop bets on miscellaneous stats of bench players that’s insane. Talk about creating a manipulable outcome, and doing it for the least well paid players who would be motivated to take advantage. What normal person would be motivated to bet on stuff like that? What would be lost from the pleasure of gambling (such as it is) by restricting it to a reasonable range of outcomes?

Actually we should go in the opposite direction. Open up parlays to even more random outcomes from even more random people, even to fans. I would be particularly interested in creating betting markets involving my own behavior. For example, Cavs cover AND Cavsfever has two cups of coffee with breakfast this morning instead of his usual one. It’s well known that gambling degenerates will bet on anything so it’s just a matter of marketing.

We could do it for RCF too - Cavs lose AND 10+ new posts in the Rant thread. Garland commits a turnover in the last five minutes of the game AND 5+ posters suggest trading him for “any starting SF”

Wr could just make a game day drinking game like this

100% coincidence. NBA only investigating because the sports book lost their ass. Don't want this stuff to happen? Dont take parlays on mediocre ass players.
Here's my galaxy brain conspiracy theory: The NBA is glad this happened and so are other leagues. Allow me to explain:

1. This was of course bound to happen. Could it happen with stars? Possibly, but the players most susceptible were the 10-day'ers, Vet mins and JAGs. Jontay Porter falls into the latter category.

2. Very odd there would be betting/parlay options on Porter given he isn't a name.

3. My theory is the NBA - in partnering with betting sites – trial ballooned this with several players to see which one would bite. They can now say if you cheat, we will catch you. If we caught Jontay fucking Porter, we can catch anyone.

I'm not the sole person to think this of course, but I do think the NBA isn't that pissed about these events.

Thunder win a close one against the Pels. Dort hit a big three on a play where it honestly looked like SGA carried prior to the pass. Proud of the way the Thunder stayed calm under pressure after a big comeback by the Pels, though. After Zion abused them earlier with his physicality, I don't believe he got a bucket in the final few minutes; they did a great job of ball denial. And most shockingly of all, Josh Giddey lit the Pels up from three with a career-best five triples.
