Mike Brown is asking too much of him. At this point in his career he is good for a nice 20-22 minutes off the bench specializing in creating mismatches. Think how good he would look against teams 3rd and 4th bigs. He would eat them alive.

The way this Magic team is built, that no win situation is going to be visiting us every year in the Eastern Conference Finals. So what are we supposed to do, play Z the entire season, then watch him get his ass pounded by Howard every year?

Did you guys watch the regular season? Or how about the first 2 rounds of the playoffs? Did you see anything that Z did all season other than what he did against Howard? Z isn't the fastest or strongest Center in the league, but he's STILL a top 10 center in the league. And one of the best fits for LeBron. You can count on one hand the centers in the league who would straight up abuse him, Dwight just happened to be one of those few. I know it's fashionable to panic because the Cavs lost, but don't call out Z. You're just making yourselves look silly.

I love Z to death but he better take a god damn paycut because the money he is getting paid he still wasnt worth in his prime. He needs to be the first big off the bench. We need to find a way to blow up our bigman rotatation. Ben Wallace's contract is expiring. We have Joe Smith and Wally both expiring. Varejao needs to just accept a sign and trade because thats the only use he will do for us.

Z's heart is bigger than he is. He came from an almost career ending injury to where he is now. He's old now, but if you were him, would you retire? Would you willingly put yourself on the bench when your thought is you can put all you have into your team until you have no gas?
That being said, he SHOULD start coming off the bench. This series, though, he did all he could against a guy whose shoulders could hold up the world. And his smile can piss off a city.

I don't see how poeple can say that we should keep Z...I don't care what the hell Z did in the regular season. If we didn't have him, we still would have ended with a top 3 record in the league. The Magic are not leaving our conference. What is the point of keeping Z id we cannot get passed the Magic with him as our center. Is it acceptable to be Eastern Conference runner ups to you? Because it is not to me. And with Z as our center, thats all we will be.

Dude, calm down and don't knock Z. There is no one that has ever watched a Cavaliers game that is stupid enough to suggest that Z could adequately contain Dwight Howard.

He's just a terrible matchup for Dwight Howard, and we can't hide him by putting him on Rashard. Off the bench if necessary, but he's certainly still good enough to contribute. No one was saying a word about this going into the series.
