Round 2 Game 2| Cavaliers vs Celtics| Mon. May 3rd, 2010| 8pm (et)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It is never wise to give life to an aging, but game champion as the Cavs have done for the Celtics.

"Whether we lose by 1 or 20 it's still 1-1"

We've played at our absolute worst for the last 2 games. I expect us to come out fired up and take game 3 on friday.

This was one of our worst played games in a long time...

Here is my question: Am I the only one who feels like this had nothing to with Boston (or very little) and everything to do with how WE played? I don't think Boston really did anything different than they did in game 1; I just thought that we didn't show up at all. LeBron, of course, set the tone with his un-aggressive play.

Just an extremely disappointing loss. However, it is only 1 game...

I am totally with you...Cle missed FT's,played shitty D,and didn't attack the hoop in the halfcourt game or out on the break

When they did they had huge runs and cut big leads down in a hurry....we missed a bunch of easy shots and made just absolutely terrible passes and took terrible shots

Also whoever thought it was smart to start fronting KG is a fucking idiot

There were lanes that LBJ didn't attack and all of our shit passes and bad D rotations gave Boston easy hoops and wide open jump shots....1 of the shittiest efforts I've seen......the fact that gane 3 isn't until friday pisses me off even more

We should have beaten this team by 15 tonight....they are old and not in our league...the Cavs have plenty of talent to win the whole thing and I don't wanna hear otherwise if we don't win this ... starting game 3 LBJ better back up all his mission and 1 goal talk because I seen a guy who played scared and like he didn't give a shit all night and that is ridiculous and the dude should be ashamed of himslef for his effort...and if Mike Brown isn't a puppet he should lay in to him....hell he should have called a timeout like he did vs Detroit in the regular season and ripped his ass when we went down 11 in the 3rd qtr....the fatc he didn't says alot about Brown IMO

Celtics can smell the chance to shove the MVP trophy down Lebrons' throat and give Cleveland the short end of the stick once again.

I'm a huge Cavs fan but for me to just get all upset because they sucked tonight would be a waste of energy. We all have things we are emotionally invested in and everyone on this site is invested in our Cavaliers. There really is no need to bash our team when we lose a game. Sure we lost by a lot but we played like shit. The series is not over, some people are acting like our season is over. Sports should be a an outlet to problems, not a reason to have more problems in our lifes.

Also...just what does it say about this team that we have came out an dplayed this bad and uninspired in the 1st 2 games of round 2 of the playoffs?

Where are the leaders on this team?

It is probably time to move past this shit but wow...I would have thought the 1st half woke them up Saturday....these BOYS better step their game up....they have been playing lethargic since early March

Why would they come out fired up? They've been unable to do anything in the first half in Boston this season. Why should we expect anything different?

EVERY YEAR IT'S THE SAME DAMN THING, WHERE THE FUCK IS OUR OTHER OPTIONS?

If you're emotionally invested in a basketball team, and said team decides to just crap the bed in a playoff game, then you should have every right to bash them.

I understand you're point is that sports aren't the end all, be all, but still. To come out and play that pathetic a game is absolutely terrible. Fans should get their money back after that performance.

i think people are pissed because we as fans seem to want this more than the players....I'm a 30 year old dude that has some game and plays 2-3 nights a week and played harder last week than our guys have fro 6 out of the first 8 qtrs this series

Christ I was fired up all day for this game and this is what I get to watch....a bunch of guys half assing it all over the court...this team has never had a killer instinct...they give up big leads instead of burying teams...I also hear LBJ sau I hate to lose...blah blah...well I hate to lose to and I'd be damned if I'm gonna watch my team go down 10+ points and sit back and make shit passes, not attack the hoop, and look uninterested on the defensive end when I am the 25 yr old 2 time MVP with all the skill in the world........that is what pisses me off the most....alot of these guys these days lack heart.....I hated Kobe and still do but I respect him more now because he truly don't give a fuck if you like him or not he is out there to whip your ass....that shit tonight was pitiful and it falls on 23 and his approach to the game......play your ass off,act like you give a shit, and attack the fuckin basket and take over the game like a star is supposed to do...not play like you're a scared disinterested girl scout with no PRIDE....I could never sit back and watch that shit happen without just hattacking the damn hoop pissed off after my team just went down 10 or 12.......he should know better than that and I think alot of us fans feel that way right now....we would have played balls out but instead we fet to watch our star coast in huge game that we should have made a statement in .. he should have let them know that he was the MVP,they are too old to stop him and the Cavs on their way to a ring and he didn't...he bitched up

Rondo is clearly the best player of the series so far.

Cavs must play what style is best to win, not come in with some preconceived idea of what should happen.

I think they need to get the lead out and run up and down the floor.

Windy- LeBron is laid back and calm, despite uneasy 1-1 series. History says he's right, so much ball to be played.

Mike Brown rants after bad Ls, but unusual for him to call out a player as he did with Mo: "He's got to step up, it's as simple as that"

It's inevitable a team is going to lose some games in the playoffs, but you'd like to see some evidence that your team left it all on the court.

Cavs didn't even bring it to the court so they had nothing to leave out there.

Is that a possibilty? I will be the first in line.

From the AP game story:

Boston leads the league in technicals this postseason. "That was our goal," Rivers joked. "We are an emotional team." ... Rivers said he sent four plays from Game 1 into the league to be reviewed. He wouldn't say which ones. "I'm scared to tell you which ones because I may get fined for it," he said. "But they said I was right." ... Rivers on the hard foul in Game 1, when Shaquille O'Neal sent Rondo crashing to the court: "I thought it was close to an assassination."
